If not Keane I'd begrudgingly be in favour of Alex Neil
Pretty much my feelings on it as well and I think Neil would actually be canny.
Rather have Keane though.

Deal!I'll have a 50 quid bet with you that he will![]()
I don't mean he can't have somethings changed but the club have put things in place so there is continuity. That has to remain. Nee one is bigger than the club and the powers that be have to back their plans.
I'm expecting an announcement after the game ... what or who that might be I'm not certain anymore. Think we might want to get the game out the way and try an focus on it then break the newsIf not Keane I'd begrudgingly be in favour of Alex Neil
The system is fine. Maybe the personnel aren't? They have to have courage of their convictions, it was never ever going to be a quick fix.Continuity of what though, failure?
That’s my point, it’s not like we have a great system in place and the manager is just a cog in the machine.
It has been terrifying how bad we’ve been recently - not sure I’m sold on retaining the continuity that’s brought us to where we are
That said I understand we can’t keep chopping and changing either
But on balance, we can get Roy Keane so get him
He wants it, he needs it, it's precious.
That’s a worrying post, unless I am misunderstanding it.I think our club failed over the next 3-4 year because of power struggles
Alex Neil through gritted teeth from the list we know of
We need shot of Speakman. Nowt in his CV worth anything for the job he is doing now.
The recruitment has failed to provide our team with enough strikers for the next 3 months ....rumour has it Stewart is injured for tonight who do we have to play upfront ..a 39 yer old not fully fit striker and a kid who hasnt had a first team start this season and plays the game like a whippet chasing a crisp packet across the field on a windy day.....Do you really think that is good recruitment?Broadhead is not back soon and its not good to rush somebody back who relies on pace and has dodgy hamstrings as the other one will probably go!Recruitment has been very good and is the least of our problems. We had Defoe, Matete, Roberts, Clarke, Hume and Dajaku on the bench on Saturday. We have had injuries but McGeady, O Neinn, Wright, Broadhead and Huggins back soon.
That is by far the strongest squad we have had in years and the strongest in the league! We have strengthened our squad in the January transfer window more than any other team in the league - in fact no other team comes close! All clubs in our league struggle with cover in the latter half of the season - we are better placed than any our team in the league.
I think it is fair to say another central defender would be good but we have Doyle, Barrt, Wright, ONeinn who can play there and a free agent is on the radar. Flannigan was a liability and anyone who witnessed his last games would know that. He should have been sold after his first season at the club. He has gone to a lower half League 1 team - say no more.
Upfront, OBrien and Hawkes have gone - replaced by Defoe, Clarke and Roberts. If that’s not progress I’m not sure what is!
Matete is a great buy and will be a first X1 player for sure.
The missing link is the manager! One of the attractions of the job to Keane is the strength of the squad. We are massively under achieving when you consider the strength of squad. Motivation levels seem to have dropped off - an issue that was raised with LJ. Keane makes perfect sense in this context.
Fans are writing off the season but I think if Keane is appointed and he has the desired impact, we will finish the season very strongly.
If Keane says no, I'd be torn between;
Experienced - Neil
Up and Coming - Manning
What you heard?I think our club failed over the next 3-4 year because of power struggles
He signed last weekWhat you heard?
Total and utter bullshit for several reasons...Recruitment has been very good and is the least of our problems. We had Defoe, Matete, Roberts, Clarke, Hume and Dajaku on the bench on Saturday. We have had injuries but McGeady, O Neinn, Wright, Broadhead and Huggins back soon.
