Fair enough but Im not getting this talent spotting...the jury is out for me.

Not one of the players he has brought in could you hand on heart say he is going to the top.

The shambles of the past week and second interview malarky is doing him massive damage.

If we end up with a McCann or Lennon he is finished at this club. The fans will ensure it.
Johnson was his man and therefore the failure is also his. He can't afford another failure.

Everyone saying it’s done and dusted have gone a bit quiet. If it’s done and dusted why’s it not announced ?

Sold 2 centre halves and ended up playing a midfielder in that position. If we’re doing shit like this how can they be expected to replace a manager?

I hope so and people really do act if that happens.

This is without a doubt the lowest I've ever felt as an SAFC fan, and I thought it was the last Championship season. People are rightly fed up and it could start badly turning. We are already imploding big style.

Even the excitement about Defoe coming back seems ludicrous now.
Agree mate I think the fans are one bad appointment away from properly turning. Things could get ugly.

Johnson was his man and therefore the failure is partly his. He can't afford another failure.
He was and Johnson should have gone in the summer. Many could see he simply wasnt up to the job but not Speakman.

Speakmen could manage Johnson. Keane will see through bluffers and bullshitters...you can see why this process hasnt been as straightforward as it should have been because without doubt Keane wants this job.

I am thinking purely about the likes of Huggins, Cirkin, Clarke and Roberts, players of their pedigree and quality are better than I expected. I think he did well to ID them and get the deals done. It only works if these types of player are blended into a squad with a rock solid keeper, centre half, centre mid etc. We have all seen the weak underbelly way too many times this season. I have said on another thread this evening I think he is sailing very close to the wind, he has complete autonomy over all football matters at safc and the season is starting to look like a catastrophe. Him not fronting up the first team post Johnson is truly awful, very easy for him to throw the three lads under the bus. I think he has something to offer but total control over football and the first team is not it.

Honestly, if and when we hire Keane - as literally every media outlet, mainstream and tinpot, is suggesting remains by far and away the likely scenario - then some people on here will need to get some new bedsheets.

Makes the takeover thread look sane.

People got what they wanted in the end with that and Defoe, didn't they?

Beta blockers recommended all round.
