I think the real target is a Wembley final and hopefully promotion. Owt else is a bonus. Whilst we'll obviously give it a go, I don't think they're daft enough to expect automatic promotion now.

Clearly, hence why we haven't appointed anyone

talking about wasting an opportunity

its incompetence that you are trying to mask as cleverness

What I don't get is KLD has been saying that we've had interest from all over the world, yet the only alternative we seem to have come up with to Keane is McCann.

We dont need any more centre backs....."get beat off the worst team in tht league with Carl f***ing winchester playing centre back"

We dont need to replace Johnson, there is no rush "go to Cheltenham with Mike Dodds in charge and fall further behind the top 2"

Nothing to see here! Everything is going really well
I'm not even sure if Carl Winchester knew he was playing CB on Saturday. Shambolic set up. We move on.

See, I'd stop short of these comments just yet. As I've said, the jury is out on him, I'm not wholly convinced. But it's wrong to lose our shit over Speakman because of the last few days.
Yes, I'd agree. Surely you judge the success of the DOF model in 3-5 years. I think they made a mistake with Lee Johnson but can forgive them as it was right at the start of the regime. This next appointment is crucial but so are so many other factors such as the flow of talent into the team from the academy. The academy was decimated by the clown that is Stewart Donald and it will take years to repair that damage. That Speakman/KLD put focus is a key positive. However, some have made up their mind and so be it.

I think it's Keane. I reckon they're just waiting until tomorrow afternoon to announce it to give the fans and players a boost before the game

Well we werent overloaded with options like

we had 3 fit defenders. Winchester been absolute disgrace for weeks but he has to play as we have nobody else.

its really a mess, I cant get me head round what they are thinking.

Am not even talking about having good options, just literally a footballer who can physically play there

Ok so here is what I’ve been told 100% no wind up, Keane was at the AOL this morning (still might be) he was actually at the match on Saturday but kept in a box no idea how he wasn’t spotted guessing he didn’t come out of the box (remember the fire alarm after the game). Told ‘they’ wanted to get these couple of games out of the way first before announcing Keane so Proctor and Dodds take the flak rather than Keane being rushed in and getting off to a bad start (makes no sense to me like) but he WILL be the next Sunderland manager! If this wasn’t me I would be calling it as bullshit and saying piss off but who I’ve been told from is ITK. Prehab or any of the other ITKs will be able to confirm some of these details I imagine (if they wish).

Absolute horse shit.

I have a family member who is a member of the teams chefs team. He categorically was not there on Saturday, nor has he been there today.

Why do people think they would do talks at the AOL they don't, they do pics and paperwork at the AOL

He’s not going to be in charge tomorrow whether we agree or not it’s not happening.
If he is appointed there is nothing to stop him popping down to the dressing room for a pep talk I guess.
Just been managing in this country

Wheres the thought gone into any of it? Theres been absolutely none

“Interest from all over the world”

Yet all they can come up with is the usual names. Bullshit
Most recently coaching in Qatar according to Wiki. Also coached the Ivory Coach and Rennes amongst others.
