Speakman has done a great job with recruitment! Did you see the bench yesterday! Getting rid of Flannigan and O BRIEN also makes sense. He can’t go on the pitch and play but our squad is the strongest in league! If he ties up Keane, I would say Speakman has done an outstanding job!

some seem to think anyone who is articulate is a changer! Far too simple a view on life!

Is this translated from German ?

IMO when a club take awhile to appoint a manager after sacking one it's because of knee jerk reaction. Even when Man Utd sacked Solsjkaer they had Rangnick in place a week later. The only club I can think of is the Mags after sacking Bruce. And we laughed at the shitshow that was.

I'm not saying we were wrong sacking Johnson but should have an idea who we wanted.
It’s not about the speed of the decision! It’s about getting the right person. Clearly discussions started with Keane early last week. Keane is not straight forward - he has a contract with SKY - there will be contractual issues to resolve. SAFC are awaiting his response - not vice verse!

Jermain Defoe alone got the club an extra £250,000 yesterday in ticket sales. I imagine Keane would have similar effect. We have a billionaire owner, if we want to get out of this league we need to pay what we need to pay.
Plenty of clubs have got out of this league without spending millions.

I though we had rich owners 🤷‍♂️
We’ve never spent a million pound on a player under this owner, never mind a manager.

You live in dream world mate. League one manager on 20k a week

He pissed off 99% of the fans, certainly on here, a week after sacking the Manager and basically said they hadn't even compiled a shortlist?

He lowered the mood that'd been building all week and any momentum and excitement was gone. Didn't have to do an interview, shouldn't have done an interview. Its that straightforward. I will be deflated if it's anyone but Keane now and I think there was a bit of self preservation. You obviously didn't see that & I'm guessing you'll be cracking the champagne when McCann is announced?

Because its obvious. And of course I don't know them. What a bizzare comment
It's not bizarre at all you're just making stuff up.

If you think for one minute Roy Keane would manage us for £5k a week then I reckon you’re in a better dream than me.

250k a year sounds about right to me. You don’t go and manage in league one for the money. If he was about the money he wouldn’t be leaving his current role.

I can’t see that being so much of an issue tbh he has always stated that he’s wanted to get back into management so he would definitely have a clause in his contract that if a job came up he could get out of it.
