Good organisations always have a contingency plan in case things take a turn for the worst. Johnson’s sacking can’t have been a knee jerk reaction from the pitiful display at Bolton. His credentials were being questioned after our dreadful results and failures end of last season! So why didn’t we have a shortlist of experienced/successful coaches who could bring success to the club. We can’t afford not to get 3 points Tuesday night.
You're right mate, but they clearly don't have that contingency plan otherwise they would have implemented it.
Poor management, showing up a lack of depth beneath the veneer of professionalism in my humble opinion.

I'll be disappointed if its only only 4 month deal for keane, wouldnt have much chance. But I cant see it being only that, especially now
I would be absolutely amazed if Keane was manager and it was a 4 month deal like. Unless we give him a massive promotion incentive.

I'd be ok with Keane coming in the short term until the end of season but somehow I think he would want at least a full season having his own players lined up. Listening to his interviews over the years he seems eager to get back into management but not for the short term but who knows.

He is not going to fuck about and accept a short term deal. If they are serious about wanting him, they will not insult him by offering him one.
Has to be long term, or it's not worth him bothering his arse.
Let him build a legacy here. Don't treat a legend of the game, who did well here last time generally, like a commodity that can be played with. Show the man some respect, and he will respect them for it.

Completely agree.

Agreed, i don’t see him accepting a deal until end of the season (even less chance after today). If he’s our choice give him at least a couple of seasons to make an impact

its absolutely the most Sunderlandish thing we could do
I hate this club at times
I couldn't see it working with Keane anyway.

We move on. Who we move on to is a scary thought like.
That’s been my biggest worry all along. They’ve found a way to replace Coleman, Ross and then Parkinson with someone even worse. Who knows what’s coming next

If you think that just because we are in League one that we aren’t newsworthy you are as bad as him. Like I said he tweeted as soon as Lincoln beat us, we must have been deemed newsworthy then. He is a selective reporting, mag apologist twat who actually cried live on tv when reporting on their takeover
I think your letting your dislike of that numpty colour your view! If Roy Keene was not a candidate for for he job we would not get a mention on sky.
There has been subtle changes locally as well..I usually listen to cutthroat radio at the match (home games )and for years radio cuttroat used to (when newcastle and us were playing at same time)fairly alternate the frequency between fm (better coverage)and dab and eventually they gave fm to the home team and dab to the away............. but now i think since the takeover they allocate all Newcastle games to the fm frequency and we get dab ..they have basically given up the façade of being fair in the allocation of the frequencies ...... a subtle but disrespectful change in my book.

That was my point to be honest. Lee Johnson didn’t learn from his mistake’s and paid the price. Hopefully those running the club don’t do likewise.
