There were several apparently itks at around 6pm saying it was a done deal -now either they are all incorrect ( they seemed sure )
Only Hetton Lass posted contrary but wouldn’t say if she had a genuine connection to the club

Yes the game may be faster now etc but when you strip it back (behind all the modern aggressive pressing and the like), that is still essentially what constitutes a good player.

The amount of dross players we had even in the premierleague who couldn't control, pass and move was frightening.

When you strip it all back, it’s such a simple game. Put it in the onion bag.

Cloughy said can you pass it? can you control it? can you tackle?

It sounds so simple but not many players can do that. Which is what Roy bangs on about, especially the likes of agbonlahor that are 2 stone overweight and couldn’t trap a pig in a passage.

I'd say that high pressing is now a big part too. The best teams are all very very organised off the ball and just won't let the oppo settle

That's exactly it really.

I watched that I believe in miracles documentary (cloughie at forest) not too long ago, and they didn't really drill any tactics or fancy plays.

It was mainly 'get the ball and pass it, if you can give it to John Robertson that's even better'.

'What about direct free kicks boss?'....'Shoot'

'And indirect free kicks?' '****ing put the ball to the side and shoot'

You often wonder at times if the likes of Johnson and Parky over complicate what is 3rd tier ****ing football.

We have had, and you see opposition players in this league week in week out who can't control, make a 10 yard pass and move ffs.

Just from reading between the lines of posts "over the road" I think the suggestion is that Keane has history with one of the "leadership group" (presumably Donald). The suggestion seems to be that this could make Keane a bit wary. That being said, the lad posting it still sounds positive that it will happen. Hopefully kld can demonstrate to Keane that he has all the say and all the control. If there was any truth in this mind (which I couldn't say one way or the other, got no clue) it would demonstrate why we need rid of the pair of them and could do with knowing how much of a stake they actually have in the club. Hopefully it either isn't accurate or isn't an issue though, everyone will be deflated as fuck if it isn't Keane
