*~*~* Rotherham v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

We have to keep trusting the process and support the team and the fella in charge no matter how much we dont want him

End of the season if we dont make the play offs then we can complain

What happened to white dogshit? Why don't we see it anymore? I blame the owners for not buying CDM s when we don't need one so I'm raging! Just wow and I blame the manager for not turning a blatant CDM into one! But our current game doesn't need one! We also got 2 capable centre forwards, but it's up to the manager to find a system to get them firing!
Was Kevin Phillips a capable centre forward or a fullback when we signed him? Did the manager find a system to allow him to flourish?

Didn't watch the game last night but i'm pretty worried based on what i've watched all season. Sounds like we only started to play well with 20 minutes to go. The injury situation has been terrible in recent years...

The appointment of Beale absolutely floored me.

spot on
ASs far as I remember you live in China. So do I and I got up to watch the game, a 3.45 am kick off. Honestly wish I hadn't bothered especially first half. Can't see many positives at the moment and sooner or later the inability to score is gonna suck the life out of supporters and players.

On the recruitment side recently we keep signing mostly low cost young foreign players but to date we have only really had success with the more expensive domestic players we have brought in from Premier League clubs.

Ballard
Cirkin
Huggins
Alese
Roberts
Clarke
Ekwah

The foreign recruitment in the last 12-18 months has not been good enough. I believe this is all because the club are now focusing more on future returns. The players listed above nearly all come with hefty sell on clauses. This has forced us overseas for cheaper options with greater potential return.

There is something not quite right at the minute and If we sell 2-3 of the players listed above we will be really screwed.

Too slow in attack and reliant one man (JC), two actually, Ballard in defence. Teams know we have to get past three players or more just to get a shot on target. Absolutely honking weather in Shandong last two days, terrible pollution.

We're 7th in the Championship and on course to finish on the same number of points as last season.

We have a team full of young talent, watching the likes of Clarke, Ballard, Huggins, Jobe every week alongside local talent who are given the opportunity to shine like Neil, Patto and occasionally a 16 year old Rigg.

All of this whilst being financially secure and running without fear of going into administration.

"Give us our club back" - you couldn't be trusted with it. You'd sell your soul and that of the club to any billionaire who you think would throw money at it.

yeah I want my club back!! When did I own it again?? was it when we all got gaslighted into changing the pink seats? when we had 2 southern, lower league chancers who bought us pints and insulted us?? When we appointed Phil Parkinson yeah and finished outside the playoffs in the third division??

Aye them were truly the Halcyon days
White dog shit seemed plentiful in the 70’s .. what led too it’s demise ?
Speakman

Football fans in general are never happy are they? No matter what. Always wanting the manager, owner, Dof etc sacked and wanting their club back.

Set of whingeing fannies.

For the record, I’m not too happy with our setup atm either, but the meltdown over every result and every off field decision is exhausting.

Christ we wanted a just off the forecourt Cindy Beale...but are getting the clapped out high milage Kathy beale ...

3 games and the dashboard is glowing red

Speakman you're an utter snake oil peddler

The Pritchard situation...screams meddling

I watched Ekwah specifically for 10 minutes when the second half started and my god he needs dropping. he pussies out of 50/50s, any pass over 4 ft and anything that isn't sideways or backwards. He is weak as piss at the moment and shouldn't be playing. Christ try anything, Rigg, 09, Jobe even (nearly cost us aswel, suprised he didnt go off or get sent off ). One minute DN is moving forward then Ekwah is ffs. But that middle of the park is area is costing us as much as the striker problem is.

Performance was shocking though and there's nowt wrong with saying that.
The Christmas period is a challenge for any club.

- We played a home game the day before Christmas Eve...high pressure new manager etc. A disastrous home collapse.

- We're then on the road Boxing Day and 29th December. Mixed performances but 4 points.

We've now got Preston on New Year's Day.

- Where does the new gaffer get time to work with the players?

- What work can he do to prepare for this career defining game?

Preston are fragile and inconsistent.

The fans need to turn up on New Year's Day and roar the lads home.

Well a point away to a team fighting for their lives in a period where games are coming thick and fast is ok with me

We know what we need and hopefully in January this can be addressed and we push on for a playoff spot

I think if TM was still in charge we would of got beat last night in my opinion so let’s take the positives and move onto Preston where if we take 3 points we will probably go back into the top 6
