Ross Stewart

That's just hindsight though.
Southampton thought he was fit enough to offer £10 million. We thought he was fit enough to offer a new contract.
He refused to sign a new contract as he wanted to go to Southampton instead. Just because he ended up injured again, it doesn't justify him wanting to move. That doesn't even make sense.

"I wish him well, even though he jumped ship for the cash to play for a rival team, because I saw into the future and knew he'd be injured. Good old Ross lad"

Give over, up until the summer gone, our transfers were average to poor. Scraped promotion from League One and Championship.
What a load of absolute horse shit….

We could easily line up and be competitive this season with Cirkin 09 Ballard Hume as our back 4.

3 from league 1 and 1 from the first summer in the championship.

Le Fee came last January, Isidor the summer before.

We spent nowt of Bellingham and sold him for 30 million.

Peanuts on Stewart and sold him for 10+ mil. Nowt on Paddy Roberts sold Jan for profit.

We’ve given as much first team exposure to our academy players as possible resulting in Tommy Watson leaving for 10 + mil. Will be selling Patto this summer for similar.

It’s exactly why out transfer business has been excellent since KLD took over that we could spend the money we did last summer.

We’ve gone from playoff position in league 1 to the verge of European qualification under the current owners in a little over 5 years.

Our transfer buisness has clearly been one of if not the best of any club in England over that period.

Nope, we finished 16th that season. It was appalling. We went years without a proper forward. Eventually scraped promotion last season. You might have missed that.

No one knew he'd be injured to that extent once he left us, so no good congratulating him on that

Everyone knew. What do you mean, nobody knew? Do you think we didn't think he was injured when we sold him?

He tore his achilles, man. Anyone in any type of physical medical profession would tell you he'd be out for ages, and would have a high possibility of being injured long-term again, and again, and again etc. for the rest of his playing career. It's an awful injury.

Wonder will a premier league side take a punt? Could definitely see it happen in January if he has a run of form in the championship
