If isidor cleared off he'd have been a decent backup option to have for brobbey and mayenda for a couple of million at short notice in January. Would prefer someone with a better injury record in the summer though.

Gyokeres scored for fun in Portugal, but let's be honest, that's a bit of a farmers league.

Gyokeres has always struck me as a flat track bully. I don't think he is anywhere near Arsenal level and they are doing brilliantly in spite of him, not because of him.

Gyokeres despite playing for the likely champions isn't in the top 8 or 9 strikers in the PL but theyve managed to get where they are dispite him not being great.I always said a move to a Villa/Mags/MU would of been better for him.But come on he's a level above Stewart

Gyokeres has been quality in every league he's played in. It's taken time at Arsenal, but theres signs that they are starting to play to his strengths.....It even took Haarland and City a while to get that partnership going and even now, they still don't play the direct ball through to him due to their nature of wanting to pass around teams.

Gyokeres is a cracking striker, and is good at pretty much everything you'd want out of a No.9. to call him a flat track bully, is flat out bollocks tbh.
 
His finish last night was typical of him, just a natural goalscorer, such a shame his last few years have been plagued by injury.

All about opinions.

I'm not convinced he'll ever be Arsenal level.

And he could have had waaaaaay more.

There's still times now where you can see There's a simple direct option to Haarland and players don't take it.

I'm talking about the way the two sides are very controlled and play the ball around even when there's opportunities for them to go direct to their main striker I didnt say he struggled or was shite. Haarland could have easily scored more goals in his first season at City, there's nothing controversial in that at all.

Gyokeres has a decent record so far and is getting better the more he and Arsenal are getting used to having him up top.
