Ross - Defense is better than last year

I think we have far bigger problems than Hume. I think the kid has done alright
The Right back and Centre Half positions are a far bigger worry as is the lack of a holding midfielder

We have holding midfielders in Leadbitter, Dobson, Mcgeouch and even Power to a certain extent if needed there. Dobson in the first twenty or so minutes against Rotherham was getting back well but also moving into the opposition's half well which is what you'd expect but then we all camped out in our own half after that and that was that.

We have players good enough all over the place but I do think our fullbacks are our weak link. They struggle defensively, but when you have two holding midfielders they should be getting a lot more help from one of them while the other stays in the middle watching for runners or players hanging around the the edge of the box.

Going forwards we seem to flood players out wide whichever wing the ball is on, we always seem to have three or four players out wide instead of one or two and end or with one or two in the box instead of three or four

Think I'll keep mine till end of season

:-) :-)
When he gets the best squad in the league promoted? After taking the best squad in the league to 5th last season? Woohoo.

Let's hope he manages properly in the championship or he will be out on his ear. I imagine the new owners will want playoffs next season if we do go up. We wont be settling for mid table.

Lol....yeah. so he can't win.

Well covered but it won't wash

If we somehow get promoted with Ross, fuck knows how...but if we do, he won't be able to cope in the championship imo

I have a feeling they would, takes time to build from this league to the next and unless they throw shit loads of money (I'm talking 40/50 million or more) at the team I think a mid/top half finish would be more than acceptable

We won't go up automatically so it's in hope we go up through the playoffs. If he takes us up and approaches games as he is now we'll be struggling near the bottom as Championship teams won't be as forgiving in front of goal and won't be as forgiving as we pass them the ball all the time

The ramblings of a desperate man. He’s only fooling the minority now.

It’s a tough one because I really don’t want him as manager. I’m sure he’s a fine man but he’s not up to it. Having said that, obviously results have to be poor for him to go and nobody wants that.

Cant even see Ross managing a mid table finish tbd

We will because of the players we have, teams are so bad we'll be well in the top half. If we were organised better and the tactics included keeping the ball we'd comfortably be in the top two

Score more goals = win more games. Its very simple.

Ross setting us up to defend will see us under pressure more which will result in frustrating draws and losses.

Not really. Generally, concede fewer goals = win more games is more accurate.

So you think we won't be in a relegation battle with him?
No. Additions will be brought in as we know.

But I do suspect it won't be total clear out as you have to keep dressing room .

And I believe with purse strings open a bit then recruitment will be better.

But just what I think.
