would have him here as benks replacement and think it would be a good move for him, probably too far away from home though, probably go back to sussex i reckon
 
A combination of us breaching the salary cap, and more importantly having no money anyway will mean this never happens.

Not worth worrying about.

Breached the salary cap for 2012, not 2013 like. And only by 30k

Divo gone, hopefully plunkett to follow, and hopefully no 2020 overpaid shite

The club still has nowt at the minute. They are looking to drastically reduce the wage bill and I really cannot see any new signings. Doesn't bother me too much tbh. We have won our titles, would like to see us stay competitive with the local lads coming through. The leagues are full of good players, time to get out there watching and find some real local talent.
 
I'd have been nice to see a little more of Richardson this season to see whether he could make it as a batsman in the LVCC, rather that picking Muchall time and time again.

Rocky, Smith, Jennings, Richardson, Stokes, Blackwell, Colly, Benks could be a good enough batting squad, we'll never know.

the club has to put far more emphasis on local talent, you are right. they should form some sort of elite fast tracking system for the better lads from U11 upwards.
 
He would be a good signing particularly for the shorter games however like a few have said we will have to get rid before we can bring new players in. Looks like another young English talented player we will miss out on.
 
Always liked the lad. Seems very bright, professional and a decent all-round cricketer. Because of his batting and bowling combined with that of Borthwick's, we could potentially play those two and four seamers.
