If he’d of been French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian or Argentinian he’d have been the first name on the international team sheet that summer.

Beckham was world class at his peak. Many dismiss his ability because of his manner. He was fantastic.

Ashley Cole was genuinely world class too and amongst the very best re defenders.

Rooney was a beast at such a young age, nonchalantly dominating and bullying the best defenders about and running the show. Had he not got injured I've no doubts he'd have won us the Euros in 2004.

Just because he’s a PR machine off it and had some questionable fashion choices doesn’t take that away.

Watched Wayne Rooney at the SoL and one of the few players who I thought watching him on the telly does not do him justice. He was fantastic, controlled the game for Man U. Great player, world class and by that mean, walked into any club.
