I've never understood why they don't occasionally get swapped over.

They have briefly in the past but people confidently forget it.

Roberts didn't get oast people and Clarke's delivery was shite. I'm guessing if either had a level of delivery that warranted it they'd be playing on their correct sides, but their strengths lie elsewhere.
