6ft7" apparently, looks ok on YouTube clips, but doesn't look as assured with his feet as Roefs is.

I don’t think we’ll find many keepers who are as assured with their feet as Roefs is, as well as being a good shot stopper.

We’d have to accept if Roefs goes, there’ll likely be a downgrade in goal. I imagine Penders would be less of a downgrade than Ellborg would be (although I do like Ellborg as a number two).

Yeah, it's all about using the money to strengthen in other areas, to more than compensate for the decline in goalkeeper quality.

It's what we will probably need to do each season, unless we managed to somehow get in the champions league.

If the reports regarding Penders being used as a makeweight are true, we wouldn’t be.
He’s Strasbourg’s number one who are top half and in the quarter finals of the Conference League so, he has good experience already for a 20 year old.

6th best goals prevented rate in Ligue 1 this season. Also supposed to be very good in possession.

I suppose the question is if he's THAT good, why aren't Chelsea essentially buying him from themselves (Strasbourg) for very little instead of spending X on Roefs and losing him in the process.

He's on loan from Chelsea, which makes it even weirder if he's that good.

Very surprised if true.

He's unlucky that Verbruggen has probably been the best GK in the PL this season, but definitely should be in as second and without question third choice.
