Rodwell Vs Colback

Colback, by a street. He was alright at left back and played an important part keeping us up that year in a midfield 3 with Cattermole and Larsson (was that the Poyet escape? It's basically been a 5 year relegation battle so it's pretty much blended into one in my head). Rodwell's barely had a good game for us, and never actually played an important role in any of the teams he's been in. Obviously, Colback can fuck off and rot in Newcastle's reserves, but he did a decent job for us.
 
Rodwell's only redeeming feature is he's a threat in the air. That's indisputable.

Both cowardly players but Colback for me sadly

Colback would be class for us in our relegation fight but rodwell is decent as well. Could we have both in midfield? I think as a midfield two they could be great together.....dovetailling eachother and covering the others forward runs
 
Colback by miles. He was a useful PL squad player for us. Rodwell isn't good enough for the U23 team which is full of guys that aren't Championship material.

I think I was a fan of Colback at one point for us thought he was a tidy but unspectacular player. Wasn't that arsed when he went to the mags, like much of his passing he seems to have gone backwards there
