Started very nervously. Got caught under the ball a few times from crosses. That being said I think given the situation he grew into the game and I'd rather see him play from now to the end of the season than see Jones anywhere near a shirt again.
Jones is miles ahead of Love at the moment based on what I've seen of them both. Neither are particularly good mind. Maybe a year at a lower will help him grow at in a less demanding environment.

Not sure tbf. Jones is very poor at this level, but hes a trier and the type managers love. Generally fit and available and sticks to the task in hand even though too often he lets us down
I'm sick of seeing him just not being good enough though.

Love's first team form is allover the place tbf. It's been poor, average, good and on maybe only one occasion very good. I like how he applies himself and how he goes about his business, i think he lacks a bit of physicality and on occasions composure and hes certainly not there yet, but I see one or two good things from him so would rather give him the opportunity.

jones phoned in sick this morning according to the tele gadgy...

i face palmed when i saw that love and pienaar were starting for us, there's not one top flight footballer between them 2.

Might be ok in the championship, probably the best thing for him, let him develop.

Love was dreadful.
I think the point is that we know Jones isn't ever going to be good enough for PL, whereas there's a chance Love can develop. We know he isn't good enough yet, but if we are to return to the PPL then we need players like Love to develop into better players, and we need some patience while that is happening.

What's the craic. All injured?
All injured during the boro game and failed a late fitness test with the excel of jones.

" will make late fitness checks on four players ahead of tomorrow’s crunch game against Bournemouth.

The Black Cats have injury concerns over midfielders (Achilles), Darron Gibson and Jack Rodwell (both groin), and defender Jason Denayer (dead leg)."

this was basically my point, while he was not 'great' by any means i do not think he was drastic...still learning and the problem with defenders is that mistakes can cost us a game so they tend to stand out more.

paddy was slated for his first games but he improved, would not like to think we were relying on them week in week out in the premier the championship could see such players, ndong included, gain the experience they lack right now.
