A great wicket keeper even if he literally did bat for the opposition at times. I loved watching the tests in the 1970s. Pretty sure I even got to see him play when Australia played Yorkshire around 1978.

A fierce competitor who played hard but fair. I remember him asking the umpire to recall Derek Randall in the 1977 Centenary Test after he informed him he hadn't caught it and also he wasn't impressed with this infamous moment.
