The 3 at the back doesn’t work cos they don’t know how to play it. They don’t know who to mark or what space to cover.
it’s a formation that only works if you have 2 good, mobile wingbacks. We only have one. The other is a lumbering oaf.
It doesn’t suit the only 2 midfielders we have who can create something (Gooch and Maguire) and it’s forced us to play Maguire in the middle of the pitch as a second striker where he has consistently been shit for us, including when Ross tried it.
