Robin Roefs 🇳🇱 compendium


I know we will have to sell in the future but we are pretty much safe now, so these players are mostly on 5 year contracts so keep them all for another year minimum. They will help us cement our position in the league and their price will go up even more with more prem experience behind them
 
After a horror show this week from the keepers of Man City, Chelsea & Spurs in the Champions League then our chances of keeping him beyond this summer got a lot harder..

Every keeper makes mistakes, just like every outfield player. Roefs made a mistake the other week at Bournemouth.
 
Roefs will have many a suitor come the end of the season. I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that he wont be our player come the start of next season

Not sure that's going out on a limb, unfortunately. I have little doubt he'll go, but I also have little doubt the money will be well reinvested and we'll get better as a team...

Unless of course we manage to squeeze into Europe and you never know, we might be able to persaude him that one more years development here would allow him to go from a possible Chelsea transfer to a possible Madrid/Munich level club..
 
We had long contracts on Bent and Gyan and should have comfortably kept them for at least 1 more season at the time but once their heads are turned ( money, glamour club etc ) it’s game over. They stink the place out
Contracts mean very little
I’d prefer we only keep players who want to stay and get every last penny from clubs who are circling.
For years clubs were cherry picking from Arsenal who at the time were very much top 6 but not noted as big payers.
It’s an uncomfortable/inconvenient truth but despite our big crowds and proud history we are going to be fair game for ‘bigger’ glamorous clubs

He'd be valued at £20-25 million.I agree he's likely better than those two but id still not want him.Anyway,our keepers kicking wouldn't be a accurate enough to get the ball anywhere near him.

Chelsea would want at least their money back (30m ) and likely more to release a young England player like delap
We won’t and he wouldn’t come to play second fiddle to brobbey
