Over a thousand games and i still get up at stupid o clock every game to watch live.

I agree with you in so much as you get useless, know nowt 'fans' at home and abroad. They are still entiltled to their mental, brain dead opinion wherever they live and what ever their supporting history.

The reality is this forum is a mixed bag of opinions, and that’s fine. But what the club needs—and what it’s constantly trying to build—is a positive yet still realistic culture around the team.

We’re currently outside of the top 10, and in 13th & 15th in the 6 & 10 game form table. We might get a top 10 finish, but our form suggests we will drop slightly before the seasons end. We’re not in a relegation battle though. All of those things are fantastic for a newly promoted club like ours.
 
What he's done can't be underestimated. That said, I'd not be surprised if he's not here. The precedent in some ways was set under Mowbray. They were looking to bin him after we made the play offs. They didn't and it didn't end well. They not shown any sentiment since. If they think they can get better don't be surprised if KLD is ruthless. That's not saying it would be a good idea.

It’s not a recent thing.

Peter Reid once told a story of a game against Everton at the SoL (which we won 2-1) in 2000/01 when there was near constant grumbling and booing because we weren’t blowing them away.

It’s bizarre.

Technically, we are tied for 9th, only missing out on being top-10 by two goals (and Fulham are slumping as well, so catchable). The wonderful thing about "form" is that unless you are really good or really bad it doesn't tend to continue and you will gravitate to the mean. There is absolutely no evidence that we have no chance of finishing in the top ten.

I didn’t say we have no chance. I said we aren’t on track for one, as we are tracking down the table, not up it.

We aren’t tied for 9th.

For me it all depends on how much we spend and where the owner wants to be. If he spends in attacking positions ( tbf he has already) and the toothless attacking play continues he may well pull the plug if we start slow. Unfortunately for Régis the football isn’t easy on the eye when it’s not working. Young Kyril has already fucked Speakman off so never say never. Who knows. Be harsh if he wasn’t here to start the season mind.

I am against sacking managers unless they've lost the players confidence, but, I don't think RLB is capable of playing any other way, he's not dynamic at all. I don't think his team will ever score enough goals to take us into the next level.

I reckon we've been found out after initially surprising everyone in the first part of the season, but RLB has been unable to change it up.

The patterns with last season are clear, where we scored the least goals of any team in the entire league system in the last 10 games, bar one team.

There does appear to be some level of disquiet in the team too, gone is that togetherness and til the end mentality. Perhaps something has gone on behind the scenes.

Reg was about 7th choice, with other managers not wanting to work under the owners set up that gives them limited power.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if he leaves in the summer.

In what context? Le bris is still here in 2/3 years time and we are a consistent established team, unlikely because of manager shelf life, or we are languishing back in championship and long for the days when we competed in prem?

I think your spot on mate...that's my thinking too. KLD will not replicate the mistakes, and there have been under Monday and Regis, the last three seasons brought up.
 
The aim was to get 40 points we have got 40 points.

We have had to deal with the afcon (most affected team in the prem)

A smaller squad depth than others when injuries hit us

But we have battled through and to be fair yes the last few months hasn’t been great.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day
Season 1) stay up without the great escapes we had to do for years.
Season 2) build
Season 3) win the Treble

Easy as that.
