RIP Larry Lloyd

It's worth mentioning that Lloyd also won the League as an ever present with Liverpool when Shankly was manager, and the UEFA Cup. To be an important part of successful clubs managed by two of the greatest managers tells you a lot about his ability. One of his regular partners at Liverpool was Tommy Smith, another brutal pairing.

RIP. One of many whose careers were either going nowhere or who had lost their way that Taylor identified and Clough got playing

Iirc he won an England cap when at Liverpool.

Remember him well, old fashioned stopper centre half

He won a lot of trophies as well. Great player. RIP.

Looking at what he won, that move to Forest has to go down as one of the best moves ever. And to think, at the time it was thought he was past it, overweight and slow. He was, but his experience meant he fitted in well in a very good Forest side.
