Did you look at the photos in the news article? Paint/ plaster spalling on the front elevation and they still want over 2 mill. Crazy.
Down to offers over £1.5M now. Nee ones spending that much on that.
That’s got to be a kick in the balls considering they were asking over £2.4m at one point.
Then again, I wouldn’t have built it there with a scrap yard and traveller’s camp on the boundary.
They were asking £1.3 at one point so maybe not too bad
Was that about ten years ago? The housing market has increased in value significantly since then, so if they do get £1.5m, it’s not in line with the rest of the market.
Not the place and not the location. It is on an industrial estate, next to a scrap yard, a busy road, a car dealers opposite and I think a Premier Inn. There are some lovely houses in lovely locations within 5 miles of there for £500-£800k. I can't see why anyone would want to live there.Down to offers over £1.5M now. Not sure I'd take to wearing stacked shoes, silk stockings, knee breeches, waistcoat, wig and a tricorne. This is what £36 million gets you in Eaton Square, that London.

This I like, once my youngest grows up, I could easily live in the back end of nowhere with those views and probable hiking, cycling routes galore around. You must be logged on to see external links

Yeah, perfect for all that and more, but when push comes to shove, how many could decouple themselves from where they live and family I wonder?I’d be touring the area on the bike or be paddling around the coast in a canoe weather permitting.
The owner got made to change the front of the property as he had no planning permission. If you have a look on google street view you can see the difference.Haha, just came on to post this. Absolutely barking mad. I want it.![]()

The cricket club also were doing him for encroachment of land, not sure what happened with that.
It was actually clad in mosaic tiles, not grey render. They used to fall off every time there was a storm. Think it still has the purple LEDs on the back / sports club side.Did it used to be grey render with awful purple LED lighting?
It was originally up fir £4.5m years ago. That’s got to be a kick in the balls considering they were asking over £2.4m at one point.

It’s very bizarre, don’t think it will sell easily.Did it used to be grey render with awful purple LED lighting?
We’ve been talking and I think it’s a bit too far from where we’d like to be. Dumfries and Galloway may be a retirement option though.Yeah, perfect for all that and more, but when push comes to shove, how many could decouple themselves from where they live and family I wonder?

Yeah that’s what it looked like before the council stepped in and said it had to be changed as it was in a conservation area.I’ve just had a look on street view and if you go back to ‘20 the exterior was covered in what looks like fake grass. Reminiscent of the Big Brother house.
The brick facade on the front garden wall has fell off at least twice over the years. Obvious home made bodge job and they did a lot of the work on the house themselves so not sure what quality it will all be.You must be logged on to see external links
Lovely that.
