Meschede playing for Germany too! Ah, back in the day Denmark were half-decent with a few players featuring for English counties.

Yes I have found memories of Svanholm Cricket Club coming over here and playing local clubs and Washington acting as their hosts. I acted as their guide when they brought their under 15 side over for a tour in 1982, at Ryhope it was advertised as the Danish national under 15 team, it was only the club side however 10 0t the side which started for them had played for the national team.
 
Big Ole Mortensen hossing them down for Derbyshire back in the 1980s. A fearsome sight!
 
Can remember in the school holidays in the late 70s going to Ropery Lane to see CLS playing Denmark.

Dont think the mighty Wasim Raja was allowed to turn out for CLS.:(

I'm certain I played against them that year for the Coast League U15s at Ryhope.

Ithink we beat them quite comfortably, if I remember correctly.
