Rhodes to Durham

After a poor start he was in good nick with the bat at the end of last season and in the UCCE warm up. Needs to shop deluding himself about his bowling though.
Is that him though?

He was a top 3 batsman CC winning captain at Warks. In his early career at Yorks he was an all rounder. We've seemingly shoehorned him into his younger days role.

As I said on the Worcs thread potentially moved up here in the first place as his wife is a NE local. Then also he wasn't getting any T20 cricket at Warks which is where the money now is in the game for your CC players.

But aside from that he comes here when Lees might be going to back to Yorks. That doesn't happen whilst we sign Gay too in case Lees goes. Then England apparently put their oar in to make sure we give McKinney a chance to shine.

What might have been 3 players in 3 positions suddenly becomes 4. He's in and out of the side either batting 3 or playing as an allrounder so hardly a clear defined role for a player.

Maybe if Gay gets the callup for England you then see a guy get back to playing cricket in his best position and gets settled. I can't see him not doing well at 3 if he gets a run there.

He was one of our best blast players last year mind despite the intermittent CC form.

Anyway good luck to him following on from the health problems. Hope he has many successful campaigns at Durham.
