It's amazing how many people fall for the scams, banks will never ask for personal details or pin numbers etc. It's really easy to check that links in emails or sites are legit too.

Old people, people with mental health issues and those with dementia etc. will be the ones caught which makes it all the more worse.

Yeah fair enough, for those that fall for the scams it must be a nightmare. Suppose it's easy for some to spot them but not for people who are vulnerable and no doubt targeted.

Spam/phishing filtering should be an option for text messages these days.
