What is the difference then?
There’s a reason teams, especially those outside the top 4 or 5 in a league, tend to get more points at home than away.

If they don't beat wolves that's my birthday ruined for yet a 6rh season runningBefore the season started I expected 4 or 5 games with this sort of result with us being newly promoted.
The fact we haven't is testament to how far we've come. Last night goes down as a very bad day at the office.
Hopefully we come out all guns blazing against wolves and give them a decent beating.
Even just looking at this season, there have been similar results such as:
Bournemouth losing 4-0 at Villa
Villa losing 1-4 at home to Rosenior's Chelsea
Bournemouth losing 4-1 at Brentford
Everton losing 1-4 at home to the Mags
Palace losing 4-1 at Leeds
I've purposely removed the relegation/relegation threatened teams to show that other sides who are having decent to excellent seasons are not immune to bad days or performances either.
Of course we didn't exactly help ourselves, but other teams at this level have quality players too. Shit happens.

Of course. But that doesn't answer the question. There’s a reason teams, especially those outside the top 4 or 5 in a league, tend to get more points at home than away.

Nobody wants to lose 5-0. Whether it happens at home or away makes no earthly difference to our season.
The bigger issue is our shambolic defending over the past two games. It would have been no more palatable if we'd lost 5-0 away to Villa and 4-3 at home to Forest though.
If this time last year, you said we'd comfortably stay up without never being amongst the relegation dogfight, double over the mags but we'd have a few games where we were absolutely shite & got spanked. I bet everyone would've taken it.
Its absolutely mad to think but we can qualify for the Champions League if we win our remaining 4 gamesYou do get games where a team inexplicably collapses for a period of time.
For 20 minutes or so last night that was us and generally managers can’t put their finger on why it happens.
We did apply ourselves well the second half but obviously Forest took their foot off the gas and managed the game well.
It’s hopefully a wake up call for all concerned.
No excuse to not be winning next weekAgreed it could be a one off, but it happens next week and we fizzle out the rest of the season I think questions will be asked. A could see kyril changing
Really? Shocking that, doesn't feel like we've been 4th worst but ther's no doubt our form last year was amazing, as was how we went about earning them points. Our two best CBs yesterday yet we conceeded a shit-tin of goals yet again. Something very wrong with our defence recently, even with Xhaka playing as DMWe've been the fourth worst team in the league since the start of November. We've massively dropped off and our home form has completely vanished. It's no surprise a result like last night was possible with how poor we've been on the whole for about 5 months

I’ve thought this for most of the season tbh, even when we were flying he’d have the odd strop. I’m starting to wonder if he’s just an emotional lad that can’t help getting carried away with his emotions because he seems to be the opposite end of the scale with positive emotion when something good happens. Wasn’t he dancing in his goal celebration the other week? That lads attitude is a worry
