I don't even think we were that shit, it wasn't like an excellent side played a shite one. In open play it didn't look a battering to me, just every opportunity they had led to a goal.

We deserved to lose, but just didn't think it was as one sided as the score suggested
 

Conceding 5 a week after conceding 4 is shit no matter how you look at it, and the fact that no one seemed to learn from the villa game. Defensively balls crossed into our box we are pathetic at. Playing out from the back so casually, you would think again they'd have learned from port Vale, the mags game, the villa game etc and then he seems suprised in his post match interview.
Still a great season and cant complain overall, but no fan base is ever going to not react to a half like that last night

We did apply ourselves well the second half but obviously Forest took their foot off the gas and managed the game well.

This is pretty much it. Basically we need to take it on the chin & make it better against Wolves.

We’ve not become shite overnight, but last night showed that if too many players have an off day you can be punished.

It’s just frustrating as fuck that we’ve got something at stake.
 
It just seems obvious to me. Team are safe and are trying to play more progressively which a lot of the fans wanted. We are just nowhere near good enough to play that way. At Villa and yesterday there was way too much space for the opposition.
 
I can't for the life of me understand how the hell we can get mullard like that at home this season, it's a good job it wasn't man city or arsenal we were playing, or it could of been a cricket score. Summit wrang there mind.

At the same time though, it makes no difference whether it was home or away. Home games are worth no more or less than any other game. And whilst Forest are low down in the league, prior to last night they were (and still are) 2nd in the form table over the past 5 games, had scored the most goals and had the 3rd best defence. They finished 7th last season and competed for a Champions League spot most of the season and are in the Europa semi finals. They're not shit.

The quality of teams has increased massively in the Premier League since we were last in it, albeit the football is probably more dull. There used to be a group of teams from around 8th downwards who were dross and liable to get sucked into a relegation battle every season. Now there's a group of teams from about 7th to 16th who are of similar quality and all capable of pushing on. There's no easy games - Burnley at home is probably the only team who haven't really made us work for the points. Forest lost 5-0 to Bournemouth then beat Brighton 7-0 in the space of a few weeks last season. Palace lost 5-0 to the Mags then won the FA Cup. Years ago if you got hammered it felt like a pivotal moment and there'd be some kind of inquest to establish what went wrong. I think now you've just got to take it on the chin and move on to the next.
 
We were shite and I think it's a bit concerning how we've leaked goals the last two games. Granted the ten minutes implosion could happen to anyone we just didn't learn from it at all
 
Before the season started I expected 4 or 5 games with this sort of result with us being newly promoted.
The fact we haven't is testament to how far we've come. Last night goes down as a very bad day at the office.
Hopefully we come out all guns blazing against wolves and give them a decent beating.

His positioning for the Jesus goal was laughable. Schoolboy stuff. Thought the ball was going to be cleared and jogs out as if he’s playing RW not RB. Shocking performance defensively from him.

Even just looking at this season, there have been similar results such as:

Bournemouth losing 4-0 at Villa
Villa losing 1-4 at home to Rosenior's Chelsea
Bournemouth losing 4-1 at Brentford
Everton losing 1-4 at home to the Mags
Palace losing 4-1 at Leeds

I've purposely removed the relegation/relegation threatened teams to show that other sides who are having decent to excellent seasons are not immune to bad days or performances either.

Of course we didn't exactly help ourselves, but other teams at this level have quality players too. Shit happens.

It does make a difference. There's a reason we've not lost 5-0 at the SOL in a competitive fixture, until last night.
