You are 100% correct, I did that at Sheffield Utd many moons ago when this Sheffield fan decided to pick on an SAFC fan who was in a wheelchair, needless to say I didn’t get back home until Monday after the Saturday match! Not the best decision to make!

It’s only used by the political left. The most racism I’ve experienced in my life is from the left. I’m right leaning . On this board alone I’ve had my skin colour questioned because I don’t think as I’m “supposed “to. Frijji told me I shouldn’t be offended by Justin trudue for doing black face several times.

Taking the knee in my opinion is just virtue signalling, and has some unfortunate political connection. Clapping while a load of overpaid footballers bend their knees for a few seconds is not doing anything about abuse. What has to be done, is what is being discussed on this thread, take some positive action, if you feel confident have it out there and then, report them to as many agencies as possible, but DO something.

Why do you think it's just virtue signalling?

Also regarding the point about unfortunate political connection, footballers have been pretty clear regarding the messaging.

Either way despite the above, if people don't like it they should just be quiet, rather than you know actively booing the message like a neanderthal. Still it's always been good to see how many people tried to drown out the boos.

Obviously the point about the "private conversation" angle is that if you hear a conversation with that tone the perp. is more likely to (be able to) claim the "your word against mine" defence. If they're shouting at the top of their voice then there's more witnesses. That's all. Facile as feck to say that opinion's latently racist.

Lad behind us was reported and taken out and arrested as it happened
During the course of the process the people reporting were made obvious and they got a bit stick from his mates but we all said to them he shouldnt have said it and they agreed
We heard him apologise to the cops but they took him off
never seen him since
