I am not trawling back through it, but if you never said that exactly, you used words to that effect. Only Mags believe this.
The rest of us know his best years are behind him. He only came to the cartoon army for a bumper pay day and kept you hanging on and on until he committed, as he desperately hoped for a better offer from a decent club.
Maybe one that doesn't ply its trade in the lower leagues.

As for losing the plot, how? Defend his failure to keep your circus in the top tier, when that is what he was specifically brought in for.
