For what it's worth, a prominent neutral (Tartan Geo, WHU supporter) has just come out with RLB as his manager of the season, even over the winner of the league.

If it’s true the club targeted Europe and we miss out then you can maybe see why they might change course, overall RLB has done well and I’d definitely keep him but looking at the table we could of been in an unbelievable position without the drop off in form from February
At what point did you seriously expect we wouldn’t have a drop off in form?If it’s true the club targeted Europe and we miss out then you can maybe see why they might change course, overall RLB has done well and I’d definitely keep him but looking at the table we could of been in an unbelievable position without the drop off in form from February
Nowt to do with luck my friend. Leeds and Sunderland bucked a trend and sides at the top were losing to the like of Sunderland moreso than last season. Spurs finished 17th on38 points but were never in threat of relegation. Its been more competitiveReckon that wasn't realistic at the start of the season. Forest finished 7th last season on 65 points, that was the last European place; Brighton missed out on Europe with 61 points; Palace finished 12th with 53 points.
This season feels like an unusually low points tally to finish even 5th and in the Champions League let alone the places below. Liverpool are currently 5th and have 59 points. We've got lucky with the points tallies this season and even Leeds are sat on 47 points.
50 points about par performance for this season I reckon based on the quality of the players we have but give him credit for the fact the team were derailed due to AFCON.
I don't think he's got the players there to be looking at say 60 points a season which could get you into the Europa League most seasons. Not far off though. Needs to keep hold of our best players and bring in two very good creative players who will get us playing farther up the pitch for more of the match. Get those players and keep our best players and it's a very good team.
There are a few questions with Le Bris however: why doesn't he give a genuine winger such as Talbi a run of matches, why does he at times play players out of position when there is a capable player to play in that position which is his natural position, why do we create so little.
I reckon he's earned the right to answer those questions next season no matter where we finish and what happens this season. If the club gets the right couple of players in the summer and we still set up conservatively and are unable to create much, then there is no excuse. As it stands however, I reckon he's set up to play to the strengths of the players he has at his disposal given our better players are generally keeper, back four, Xhaka, Sadiki, Brobbey. We'll see. Hopefully he gets the players he needs and he proves that he was just missing that bit of quality going forward this season.
Why do you think I have been so frustrated with him. As Ive said continuously we have the personnel, on a man for man basis to be significantly ahead of Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton Everton, Newcastle, Fulham, the Chelsea basket case and potentially Liverpool in decline. We have proved against Everton and Man United we have nothing to fear and should have been aiming for Champions League Football. Its a massive opportunity wasted by his persistent picking of players in wrong positions, mis-management of Geertruda, Isidor, Talbi, Cirkin, and Mayenda and his pedestrian laborious and predictable tactics. Looks like he has finally woken up after 36 games and we are seeing the real potential but it may very well be to little to late and I don't subscribe to the small time thinking of look where we have come from.
I know we got only promoted via the play-offs and finished 16th in the Championship the year before, but if we had hadn’t lost any games this season we might have won the Premier League, so bin him.If it’s true the club targeted Europe and we miss out then you can maybe see why they might change course, overall RLB has done well and I’d definitely keep him but looking at the table we could of been in an unbelievable position without the drop off in form from February
I expected the worst this season but have been impressed with what we’ve done, that all been said you have to take whatever situation arises and we have had an opportunity that might not present itself too oftenAt what point did you seriously expect we wouldn’t have a drop off in form?
Yeah that’s exactly what I meant, well done youI know we got only promoted via the play-offs and finished 16th in the Championship the year before, but if we had hadn’t lost any games this season we might have won the Premier League, so bin him.

It's deliberately exaggerated to highlight the craziness of the logic. Of course we'd be doing better without a dip in form, so what is your point?Yeah that’s exactly what I meant, well done you
The club may of thought based on form up to February we should get Europe, So RLB is judged on that instead of getting 40 points, not difficult to understandIt's deliberately exaggerated to highlight the craziness of the logic. Wellish! He's done wellish.
I'm not convinced with his whole starters and finishers crack, chopping and changing and playing players out of position.
A wise man once said that football is a simple game. Start your best 11 every week, if you're gonna play with two wide players then play genuine wingers. Give the like of Talbi a run of matches instead of picking him one week and dropping him the next. Give them a chance to build up a head of steam.
To be fair, the manager has been hampered by Afcon and injuries that mounted up at crucial times.
But, next season, bring in 2 or 3 quality first team players, don't sell any of our better players in the summer (that doesn't include Spiderman) and play your best team every week. Give them a chance to get used to playing with each other and play themselves into good form.
The Club are hopefully not so stupid as to not anticipate a dip in form from a newly promoted side with a cheaply assembled and very young squad (relative to the league). Nothing shocks me in football but that reasoning would be incredibly stupid. The club may of thought based on form up to February we should get Europe, So RLB is judged on that instead of getting 40 points, not difficult to understand
They might be aiming high, and even with a poor run of form we still have a decent chance albeit not in our hands, 6th as it has panned out wasn’t unrealisticThe Club are hopefully not so stupid as to not anticipate a dip in form from a newly promoted side with a cheaply assembled and very young squad (relative to the league). On his way to Cite ffs.Can we please now give this man the respect he deserves?
Name a team in this league this season thatvhas not had acdrop off in form?If it’s true the club targeted Europe and we miss out then you can maybe see why they might change course, overall RLB has done well and I’d definitely keep him but looking at the table we could of been in an unbelievable position without the drop off in form from February
Don’t know I only care about Sunderland, ppl seem to be struggling too understand my point, our initial target was safety this then may have been revised with our form early on, and that might be source of rumours around his job, which I don’t agree withName a team in this league this season thatvhas not had acdrop off in form?
