Regis le Bris - confirmed

We’re talking very fine margins here. If Ballard hadn’t scored the last second goal against Coventry and penalties went against us the narrative on Le Bris would have been very, very different.

The way he was in the first half of the season compared to the second half was like a completely different manager, was very strange.
Lost a lot of pace with no Mundle or Alese and Rigg was knackered. Meant we couldn’t press in the same way. I think Régis deserves credit for finding a way to do well with such a young side.

Your post highlights how well Reg has done. To find another way to win after it became obvious that the team couldn’t sustain the high press anymore. It’s tactical brilliance in his behalf.

He's still shite......We were lucky to go up!
Caught a few with that like 😄

But ballard did score though 😉

The main issue was that we lost players to injury. Alese and Mundle with their pace. Ballard and Cirkin. Young players absolutely knackered in the second half of the season. What RLB did was manage this and ultimately it paid off.
Brilliant point mind..that's what a lot or naysayers completely forget. Some key injured during the season did make a difference like 👍

Looks like we finally have our man. I hadnt heard of him till this thread came up, found one tactics website that seems to suggest hes a good fit for the squad and how we like to play.

He needs backing by recruitment now. The ball is fully in Speakman and KLD's court
One of the first sensible comments arrives at page 61.
Given how last season had gone though, the general negative mood was understandable.
I’ve never had a bad word to say against him me. I wasn’t even that against Beale like so maybe I’m not the best example
Sorry, I'm just looking through the posts the day he was appointed, and I could have bumped an awful lot. I tried to make it like joke.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Took over from a manager who got them promoted and two 16th place finishes, a solid ground to build on. First few months started well with 32 points after 19 games, winning 9. Last 19 picked up 23 with 6 wins, with only 5 teams picking up less points in that period. Sold two main players and a couple of others before his second season, reinvested half and got relegated after a really poor season on 29 points with 7 wins out 34. They have then moved to sack him for someone else to rebuild for promotion. I really hope it works out and that he is the manger of his first few months, but there is little to be enthralled by it especially with the mess they have made for themselves since beales reign
His first season at L'Orient sound uncannily like his first season here. Let's hope he breaks the mould next year ,- as difficult as it will be.

No need to apologize there are some ridiculous posts when he was appointed like

I always give anyone who is appointed time

What surprised me about the reaction to this was so many people did not want Mowbray appointed, But didn’t learn their lesson from that.
