Regis le Bris - confirmed

The French Mike Dodds. Great reputation in the youth development phase but a joke act when promoted to first team duties.

Imagine Lorient coming and taking Mike Dodds from us. We'd be reacting similarly I feel.

Not so sure.

The club have done brilliantly in dampening expectations with that 16th place finish. Talk of play offs and promotion this season has given way to talk of finishing midtable or breaking the top 10. At least the lads will look smart as f#ck achieving that tho.

Almost starting to feel like we've been hoodwinked, I'm sure RLB will feel the same if we haven't made any significant signings or additions to the coaching staff before the seasons starts.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
It won't be. If you think that after last season someone new is going to come in and get us promoted in one season, then I would say your expectation are unreasonable. You know that, just another wind up on another day. But never say never when it comes to football.
Aye?

At his Playoff press conference Le Bris said asked the players at the start of the season what they wanted from this season and they said promotion but I am sure he knew that was the target.

Yes. I was surprised by the start we had where we were pressing and the back line was high. I was expecting what you were.

The second half or more (ish) of the season is more like le Le Bris of Lorient
Alese was a massive part of our high line at the beginning of the season. With his pace, we could play that if we got caught in behind, his pace was there. It allowed us to play much higher up the pitch as a team.

If this is our new Head Coach and if I take the clubs stance that certain people like Muric, Jansen, Rosenior, Lampard etc didnโ€™t turn the job down but it was the club deciding they didnโ€™t want them (which I and the vast majority certainly don't believe) and we appoint this guy!!

How can anyone argue that he would be a better appointment than those previously mentioned. What are his standout credentials to be SAFC Head Coach? Tells you absolutely everything about our owner and as to where the club is heading.

Show some proper ambition ffs!! The Head Coach is the most important appointment you will make, Steve Cooper is still out of work, where is the business sense, savoy to go for a proven Championship coachโ€ฆ.. or yes I should remember the same principle has applied with the non signing of a Championship quality CF and DCM player since Jan 23!!

What a mess, how many other supporters with a fan base as big and loyal as ours be watching a club that has no proper leadership, a proper plan that isnโ€™t so rigid itโ€™s actually demoralising the whole set up.
Thoughts now, marra?

Proved me totally wrong. I donโ€™t think from the outset he was anywhere near the No1 choice of the Board, he got the job because others turned us down. To be fair I did give him a lot credit earlier in the season. The manโ€™s demeanour and the way he conducts himself has I have to say been extremely good. He deserves a huge amount of credit to get this incredibly young group of players into the PL, his staring line up, tactics and substitutions on Saturday where spot on.

Letโ€™s hope he gets the financial support (which I think he will) to give us a fighting chance of surviving next season. If we do we could be in for some exciting times.

All the best.

Weโ€™re talking very fine margins here. If Ballard hadnโ€™t scored the last second goal against Coventry and penalties went against us the narrative on Le Bris would have been very, very different.

The way he was in the first half of the season compared to the second half was like a completely different manager, was very strange.

Young team, small squad (quality wise) unless you expected us to continue a high press all season and break the points record for the division.

Thereโ€™s no proof of that. Nothing ever came from the club on this.
