Which is what I said yesterday.Only possible difference is if he uses a Breton pronunciation of his surname, in which case the s in Bris is sounded.
Only relegated once in 2 seasons, thats definitely a positive. He only got relegated once TBF. He apparently had all his best players sold as well. I mean they can't have thought that badly of him considering they never sacked him.
I think Rayjheez le Bree is fair until we hear otherwise from the man himself. I’ve heard French people say multiple pronunciations so it could just come down to familial tradition as to how he pronounces itWhich is what I said yesterday.
I’ve got to say the opposite tbh. Exotic new foreign manager and the current crop of young talent we have surely make it more interesting than another season of league plodders and has beens under Grayson/moyes/ross/coleman/parkinson.Over 30 years as a season ticket holder and never ever looked forward to a season less. No faith in these owners.
Not in anyway excited about this appointment, although didn't expect to be. Just hope he massively proves me wrong
People keep repeating that but it’s largely irrelevant. We’re likely to sell our best player this summer. Does that mean we’d accept relegation? He only got relegated once TBF. This negativity is tiresome…..the club is going in the right direction despite some pretty niaive cock ups along the way both on and off the field. Let’s just see how we progress through a difficult transfer window ( more than ever the bulk of movement will be near the end) and how we set up.Over 30 years as a season ticket holder and never ever looked forward to a season less. Yes we are a selling club. Just look at the long list of star players we have sold over the last two years …. There is…………..?People keep repeating that but it’s largely irrelevant. We’re likely to sell our best player this summer. Does that mean we’d accept relegation?
It’s definitely not going in the right direction like. Massive step backwards last year. Nowt to say they can’t turn it round but negativity is completely understandable. You should see how fans of other clubs are talking about us if you think it’s just a Sunderland thing. This negativity is tiresome…..the club is going in the right direction despite some pretty niaive cock ups along the way both on and off the field. Assuming the new man will fail and the restructuring of the squad will fail and the new pitch will be full of weeds is easy… try the harder road… get behind the club, the manager and the team.

It’s what our model is isn’t it? Hardly a ringing endorsement for his appointment.People keep repeating that but it’s largely irrelevant. We’re likely to sell our best player this summer. Does that mean we’d accept relegation?
They sold one of their big players last summer in Enzo Le Fee. A couple others left mid way through the 10th placed season. They spent £60m in replacing them.
This could turn out a number of ways but people are just making stuff up to justify it.
I didn’t say we are a selling club. It’s very likely Clarke will leave this summer though. That’s the same thing as what happened to le bris at Lorient. This negativity is tiresome…..the club is going in the right direction despite some pretty niaive cock ups along the way both on and off the field. It’s the model for a lot of clubs to be fair. People are reading it as a dig at the club and it’s not. It’s just a fact that managers have to deal with squad turnover. It’s not an excuse for what happened at Lorient. It’s what our model is isn’t it? Hardly a ringing endorsement for his appointment.
It’s how most clubs operate I’d guess at least half the French league made a profit on transfers.I didn’t say we are a selling club. It’s very likely Clarke will leave this summer though. That’s the same thing as what happened to le bris at Lorient.

I used the example of Reims the other day (forgetting will still) who finished below Lorient, lost more of their big players and finished in a higher position
8th highest budget in the league apparently. Doesn’t mean they spent it well though but he’s not going to have as much wiggle room here. It’s how most clubs operate I’d guess at least half the French league made a profit on transfers.
To be fair to him he is probably working with a bit less wiggle room they (Lorient) have been lower middle table/relegation for much of the last 10 or so years.
It’s the difficult thing to judge in all this. He almost certainly wasn’t spending the money and no idea how much say he had in it.8th highest budget in the league apparently. Doesn’t mean they spent it well though but he’s not going to have as much wiggle room here.
Any word on his back room staff?
