Regis le Bris - confirmed

The club are taking the wholesale piss out of us all. This is a disaster of an appointment which would have been the cheapest option.

He’s a no mark manager who got relegated this season gone. However, because the club have dragged this on for so long. The standards have dropped so much that a lot are just happy to accept anyone.

I’m not the one to kick off, but this is a hugely underwhelming appointment. He’s just a French Michael Beale.
I agree with some of what you are saying but how can he be the cheapest option when it's widely reported that we have paid significant compensation for him? Unless that is incorrect, cheaper options would be out of work head coaches...🤔

Dare say we'll find out later. He'll miss the first week of pre-season, but given that's fitness beasting, that's probably not important.
If there are multiple people coming in like Fabrizio was suggesting then it’s likely other things aren’t finalised yet. Dodds will either have to accept a demotion or decide to move on

Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman added: “We are delighted to have attracted someone of Régis’ calibre to Sunderland. He is a talented coach, who is thoughtful and detailed in his approach and values strong relationships with players and staff. He is aligned with delivering our playing identity and he shares our ambition to win, as well as our passion for talent development. We are excited by the new ideas Régis will bring to Sunderland and look forward to supporting him in his new role.”

I hope he's more talented than the last talented coach who had the job.

The initial reaction on here doesn’t mean a jot. We’ve got no choice other than to give him a chance. Not like we can change the decision.

Plenty of people kicked off about Neil and Mowbray, they were both still successful and won people round.
It was just as bad on here when Mowbray was appointed, same shit quoted then as is quoted now.

Some SAFC need to lower their expectations a lot, we've been a basket case of a club since our back to back relegations.
