Regis le Bris - confirmed

I think he'll be alright. Seems like the key to his playstyle is having someone in the middle who can dictate play so that is gonna have to be a priority purchase this summer

Are they? Known where and who have they developed? I can’t find any evidence they have developed much.
Klopp also got Mainz promoted for the first time in the clubs history and then kept them up pretty comfortably for 2 seasons on the smallest budget by far. Pretty sure they also qualified for Europe. They were then relegated but Klopp had done way more than le Bris had. He was also way younger.
I don’t think most people are saying being relegated automatically crap managers but when it’s all you have on your cv it’s hard to ignore it!
He also managed to get them to 10th. They lost 3 of their best players and didnt reinvest the money.

I'll await his foulard foto afore I waste any mare of me rapidly dwindling supply of grey cells on him. Certainly seems to be one frae le champ gauche.

If it's really him (Romano isn't infallible) I'll look forward to seeing what he can do. Could be interesting.

They spent a fair bit and had a mid table budget in terms of both fees and wages according to stuff posted earlier.
That said 10th is a good achievement for Lorient, my concern is that’s entirely based on an unbelievable run in his first ten games where they massively outperformed the stats. After that it was almost exclusively bottom end form and getting worse.

Are you suggesting he was a baroque pop star? ⭐

Edit - just realised you’re saying left field not left bank! Although the left bank is pretty populaire in Paris

In his first season he won 15 games. 8 of those were in the first ten games. He's had a good few months there then been pretty poor after that.

So half his points haul that season was in the first 12 games. 28 in the next 26 games. Then following season 29 from 34 games

Would be absolutely sensational if he turned us down

The ones not wanting him will whinge he hasn't come and the ones who do want him will say he isn't that good anyway 😂😂
To be honest if that happens we would look like a complete basket case of a club to everyone outside of the fan base. Already we are achieving laughing stock status but to get turned down yet again by someone whose last team got relegated in a league worse than the championship and has little in the way of experience would be abysmal.

Yes they overperformed their xG by a fair bit during that good run. When they reverted to norm it gets a bit sticky

My concern is most articles about lorient under him are written around October to January in his first few months, when he was on a ridiculously good run. But I've seen no articles from then on etc. Obviously those articles paint it remarkably well due to the information at the time, but that isn't giving a true reflection of the overall season.
