Regis le Bris - confirmed

This is on the money like.
I’m totally 50/50 on this one. But seeing the two “sides” unable to communicate without calling each other is tiresome

Oh he’s not. He’s great 😂
This, one good season , one dodgy season, surely he can't be any worse than Dodds. If he is then the owner is going to get pelters, if he brings us success then the owner can breathe a huge sigh of relief along with our supporters.Everyone could see that Beale was never going to work, nobody has the first clue what will happen with this new coach, especially if there is going to be changes in regards to his backroom staff.

Cifuentes has managed in nearly 300 professional games and is 7 years younger than le Bris.

Rohl has coached with RB Lepizig, Bayern Munich, Southampton when in the EPL, and the German national team.

While people may not have heard of them, they both have a far greater coaching pedigree than le Bris. I hope le Bris turns out to be class by the way. But people saying what about Wenger, Klopp, Rohl, Cifuentes - it's not relevant.
100% this ...
The guy deserves the benefit of The doubt... but the odds are stacked against him in terms of
his experience
our shit owners
and the relative strength of the league.

I’m not saying he’s a better manager than this bloke, I know nothing about him, he’s just clearly got a better CV. There’s no way to dispute this.
I did say similar win percentages and in my first post I said I was not on about stats, I have just have enjoyed supporting sunderland the least in recent times under Beale and would rather we took a punt on someone than have him, Dodds or nobody

The first four mostly didn’t and left Lorient best part of 20 years ago.
Did a quick google and it looks like Guendouzi is the biggest success, followed by le fee and not much else.

Have we? Pretty much everything Iv seen is them laughing at us for giving them money for him.
Pretty much everyone is going to wait and see we can’t do much else really.
Lorient is known to be a club that develops young players. Let's be honest, we don't know anything this guy. We are saying he's a bad appointment because Lorient got relegated. But Klopp got Mainz relegated and failed to get them promoted. He ended up getting the Dortmund job. Plenty of coaches have poor starts to their careers.

The thing that had me hoping we’d get Maric or still is they seem really driven. Have got into coaching early and I’d have been happy if we were part of a bigger plan where they see their careers ultimately taking them to the elite clubs. For them to get to that level they’d have needed relative success with us.

This guy just seems to have plodded along til he was 46. Stumbled into a HC position and had 2 seasons at it one ending in failure. It doesn’t even seem like he’s chased the job and we’ve gone after him. Once he’s here and we’ve heard him speak or seen his team play things might be more apparent, but I’m looking forward to hearing KS or KLD trying to sell it to us. I’d really like to hear the local press put the facts to them and ask them to explain the rationale behind it but they’re all shitty arses that won’t bite the hand that feeds them.
Claiming to know the ins and out of this blokes career who he’d never heard of 48 hours ago

But you’re doing the same?

Is it just me that has to keep coming back to this thread coz I've forgotten his name again?

And the odd time I do sort of remember, I think it's DeBris which is not a good sign

Year 1 he sacked an under performing Johnson, appointed AN and we went up.

Year 2 he made some good signings and we just missed out on the play off final due to injuries.

Year 3 we offloaded experienced players who were likely on high wages and going to occupy the bench most of the season. Recruitment wasn't great, and neither was the appointment of MB.

To say he's had 2 years to awful decision making it just you trying to get it to fit your agenda.

Things are being changed for the better off the field, and the academy is finally being used for what it's there for.

I see you're in the camp of the half glass empty.
Great post. There are definitely some concerns, but people who want them out have very short memories.
