Regis le Bris - confirmed

Yeah, of course it does.
I detect sarcasm there. There was never any hope that a head coach was going to come in and make us promotion contenders.

But for me it's that I was looking for a head coach to come in and paper over the cracks and make us mid table competitive in spite of Speakman.

It's genuinely going to be very hard for a lad coming here with limited experience in management and no experience of English football to do that.

"They bought NDong for £20m, got rid of Aouchiche and now they are giving us money to get rid of Le Bris. Sunderland we love you"

(Thank you especially to you) - meaning Sunderland. Goes onto clarify that he just wants a coach who respects the club.

"There is news that makes you smile"

It's all we've really got to go off.
They’re just happy because they think he’s a nob. He asked to leave and the club said no so he acted like a nob the rest of the time he was there, aswell as the fact 90% of clubs who get relegated don’t like their manager

Heckingbottom is a rank average Championship manager, same as Rosenior. I'd much rather us take a risk with a foreign manager who might have a higher ceiling if they adapt. Le Bris might not be that man but we can't keep appointing these Championship jobbers.
I by no means wanted rosenior, but he's had one full season as a head coach. What's to suggest he's only rank average and would have a lower glass ceiling than Le Bris?

i think weve spent months trying to spend nowt and not change the coaching staff and ended up doing it anyway in desperation for someone way down the list when we could have done it for the no1, Still.
That being said lets see what type of ball the bloke plays and take it from there..it its actually him
That’s what’s fucked me off the most from this appointment. I’ve got nothing against the bloke and will give him my full backing, but the fact we’ve made the concessions for our 7th pick Manager out of pure desperation, it just makes us look tin pot. We should be one of the most coveted jobs outside of the Premier League on paper, but we’re a hard sell now.

So does that make him a nob then? Class.

I would be very happy with that. If the opposite happens we know this is based on first impressions. Let's see.
I can’t really imagine they have preconceived ideas about any of the coaches we were linked with, apart from maybe Rosenior.

As you say, first impressions may be important unless they have already made their minds up.

I have no idea - blank slate for me. I’ll wait for performances and results before passing judgement.

That it puts an end to this farce is one good thing. Can actually get on with getting ready for the season.

If it’s a dud then I don’t think there’s any coming back for KLD or Speakman.
How dare you act like an adult on this forum. How bloody dare you !!!

No gloss from me. I don’t know if he is the right man or not but I think we have to give him a chance.
Is it worth writing him off before his first game?
I haven’t written him off. Nor did I with Beale. I’m simply suggesting that had he been appointed quickly after Beale he wouldn’t have been as accepted as he is now?
