Let’s not beat around the bush
Its minging

Let’s just hope he was on a hiding to nothing last season.

However, I’d back Mowbray over any manager I know to pick it up and move it along after losing a tonne of talent

So for those saying it's the;

Cheap option - we're paying compensation

Have to work with Dodds/Proctor - We're restructuring the coaching staff

Yes man - Fell out woth his last board for selling his best players
Just to play devil's advocate a bit, it's been widely reported that his club wanted rid of him after the relegation. Presumably, as he's contracted to 2027, that would involve a fairly decent pay off. All of a sudden we want to take him. Wouldn't be a surprise if the agreed compensation deal was either nothing or very low, given we're effectively just saving them from having to pay him off

The coaching additions sound positive mind. They've always said that the new person can bring an assistant but said they wanted Dodds and Proctor to stay in the set up. That might still be the case but at least if there's others joining it suggests he'll have a decent coaching team of his own as well

So. This blokes name was never mentioned despite being on list of names since March. He's being allowed to bring his own staff and we're paying compensation for him. That means he he hasn't come cheap and doesn't sound like a yes man. He yet might turn out to be shite. However, one thing is for sure, they have appointed someone who is the exact opposite to what the majority of people on here said they would appoint.
Can’t blame people for getting really worried about the club they love these past months. I’m usually fairly positive but feared the worst as this has dragged. Would love to be proved completely wrong. Hope this lad works out for us and the ownership/DOF can actually get it right again like they did two years ago.

He didn’t say it did.

Just that the chat on here was “stuck with Dodds” as in he had to be the number 2. Dodds was always likely to stay, but I’m not sure why people thought he must be the number 2. Or that no coaches were allowed to be brought with the main man

He might well be number 2 of course - I don’t know - but it’s all conjecture
Because he was promoted to Assistant Head Coach when Beale came in. Unless he agrees to be demoted he will remain Assistant Head Coach unless another role is created for him that he is happy with.

Yeah he might do. Doesn’t mean the new person can’t bring in players

The chat on here was that the new person had to come in solo

It’s awful, on the face of it seems a shocking appointment to me. Hopefully there is more to it.
