7 points was the difference between 9th and 13th. And the season before he finished below Le Bris in what was an over achievement for Lorient.
There is also a large amount of context to what happened to Lorient the past season. Le Bris wanted out last summer because of issues with transfers and wasn’t allowed. He also had all of his best players sold underneath him
