Regis le Bris - confirmed

The 10th position was probably overachieving. It was their higest ever L1 position.
Not true like. Finished 8th in 13/14 and 12/13. 7th in 09/10. 10th in the 2 seasons before that all within the last 20 year. only 3 of their last 18 seasons haven't been in the top tier. So in 13 of the years he didn't manage them they had 5 top 10 finishes and 1 relegation. Since he took over another top 10 finish and a relegation

Followed by the usual suspects on here doing a full 180 and saying it’s shocking we have missed out.

We appoint him- desperate, uninspiring, scraping the bottom of the barrel, got them relegated ,the clubs a disgrace

We don't appoint him -hes up and coming, good tactician, got them to 10th, the clubs a disgrace

Sounds like it suits our squad tbh. Similar to how we played when we had Stewart….so hopefully we can find another one of those!

You can get relegated playing good football. Particularly if your best three players and top scorers are sold from under you.
Will you please stop being reasonable. It's uncalled for on here.

I checked that because it didn't seem true and its not.

If a club finishes in a higher position then a lower position when some players leave, was their relative success down to the talented players they had or the manager? Its probably a bit of both, right?

The drop off is quite severe here though. From reading about him it seems they lost a couple of forward players and he changed systems. Their issues have been at the back rather than replacing the goals they lost. As we've seen with several other clubs in our own division, losing your talented players happens. You dont always see teams drop 7 places when they lose a couple.
