Another bullshit line fed to the supporters. The appointment of Beale and subsequent shit show shows they are winging it. At best, add to that the scatter gun approach to signing players and ignoring actually strengthening key positions needed. It’s the worst “strategic plan” going!!

I’m warning to him. He took them to 10th with a young team on a low wage budget, was forced to sell his 3 top scorers and was subsequently relegated the following year.

That is certainly true of a couple and of course we’ve got two or three players with them too. I’m not a particularly gullible bloke generally but I am usually quite optimistic. I think there is cause for some optimism. There’s also enough to worry about it going horribly wrong but for now I’m in the optimistic camp.Errr yes…that consistent look is they had the same agent

Im not saying its the right plan...I suspect they felt last year they were a year ahead of scehedule but no longer feel that so will be more activist..however I dont think KLD is bright enough to do the job..

Well weirdly the shortlist would have been before the relegation. So apparently they had an interest but only decided to make an approach after the relegation and his club wanted to get rid.I'm at a loss how someone with relegation made a supposed shortlist (if you believe the shortlist). When you're looking at drawing up a shortlist how has that conversation went "aye he looks good, relegation instantly on his CV". It's taken around 120 days to get to this stage
Saying he was on the shortlist is just absurd but might even make things look worse. The club could really do with someone who understood PR

Lorient finished 2nd bottom of the French 1st division winning 7 and drawing 9 of the 34, games. He has a 30.26 career win ratio at the club. Nothing exactly exciting looking at the various stats.
Took far too long overall especially to end up with someone who was supposedly on a pre existing shortlist and who has never ever been mentioned previously despite every man and his dog being linked and seemingly never being in the running at all. It's a risk for the hierarchy after a shambles of a calendar year so far.
That said, we've just got to see how he does now though and get behind him. It's the hierarchy as opposed to him that's caused this mess and anger from the supporters. He's an underwhelming appointment but then again some of the others linked were too!
I also think the squad needs real focus and various upgrades. That's the priority to me as opposed to the head coach as regardless of how well they do, we'll be looking for another one in 12-18 months time.

It’s been obvious all summer that this is the sort of profile we are looking at, and really anyone would have been a gamble.
The only ones I was less than enthused about were the ones where the feedback was dull and defensive. Other than that, I don’t know enough to say that I think they will succeed/fail.
That’s not stopping loads from pretending they do know he’s going to fail like.
