They are only interested because he will be available for nothing

If they were willing to pay they could have gone for numerous others in the 120+ days since Beale rather than an obscure French manager with no English league experience worth paying for
 
If think reservations are fair, and a degree of being underwhelmed also.

If it’s him and it’s announced it’s him alone and Dodds stay as 2, I don’t see how one man alone is enough to change it and the appointment is basically the one you who would accept all our tedious requests

I get the model, I get longevity but it’s clear we’ve gone way down our list and the reasons for that are damning

You’re right, it’s sad that local journalists don’t want to or seemingly scared to ask a single question that may upset the club. There are serious questions to be asked, can’t see it happening any time soon.

Praising them for taking a risk and not going for the safe option is the spin version of being so cheap you don't go for the best appointment.

More like 33 days ago when the French season ended, but I see your point.

I don’t think anyone is under the impression that he was the first or second choice, because we all know who were - but the club have still chosen him whether he’s 3rd choice or 5th choice.
