Regis le Bris - confirmed

Lorient are a yo-yo side in France. It’s the equivalent of like a Norwich in the premiership. Expected to go down. Finished 16th the two seasons before he came in then he got a tune out of the players finished 10th and the board sold his best players. They’re bound to average less possession when they’re seen as a weak side in the league teams will get at them more
You dont half talk absolute bollocks mind.

They have been in Ligue 1 since 2020.

Previous to that they had 3 seasons outside the top flight, prior to that they hadn't been outside of Ligue 1 for 11 years.

Okay Yo-Yo was the wrong term but look at the finishing positions. Since 2020:

16
16
10
17.

When they were in ligue 1 for the 11 years before that:

15
16
8
8
17
11
7 (highest ever finish)
10
10
14

Not exactly flattering numbers. Since 2014 they’ve finished 15th or lower every season bar that one under RLB

So they are, on average, a lower end French division side that regulaly play in the top flight.

Under De Bris they were relegated winning 7 games all season, and he's bagged himself our job.

So in the whole 3 and a half years of being here there is 1 key player sold. And that player was suffering from a long term injury with his contract running out.

Hardly fits the narrative of a fire sale of or key players

Nutter 😂😂😂😂

They are hardly going to say we went after numerous targets who turned us down so we turned to this bloke.

Come on give it a rest
They can just use the old fax broken down excuse.

“We’ve been discussing terms with Mr Klopp since the day Michael Beale was sacked. However, the fax machine broke down, so we had to order new parts from Cannon. Unfortunately Dawn in the parts department is on maternity & we wondered why after 3 months, our fax still wasn’t working to send the contracts old school. Being the go-getters that we are, plan b was swiftly executed & said contracts were strapped to a pigeon. But somebody stuck their cock in that out the back of Jackie Whites market. RIP Percy the pigeon. Not to be deterred, we sent the work experience kid to deliver the contracts in person. We bought him a new pair of trainers, told him it would be a nice walk & he did really well to make it to Merseyside. However, Mr Klopp was back on holiday in Germany, which was unfortunate, but we did think it was weird when he checked in a pint pic onto his Facebook from the airport. Anyway, it’s all sorted now, Jurgen Klopp’s red & white army, always in our sights, number one target, fuck the mags. For anyone who wants to pay respects to the work experience kid who got fatally knocked over on his way back, outside of that weird farm in the middle of the M62, we’re putting one free drink behind the bar at Joseph’s after his funeral. Proof of Walsall ticket needed to redeem”.

I also missed off the 18th place finish after the 15th. Then since they came back up have once again been narrowly surviving relegation, he’d finally got the team player well and the board sold all his best players. Happens.

When people are talking about budget what do they mean? Salary of the squad?
Doubt it means transfer budget as we all know he will have no say basically on transfers so why would the budget really be of any concern. More than likely wages and who he is allowed to enter the hallow halls of doddsys domain.
