Regis le Bris - confirmed

If he gets the job, I’m not overjoyed given his record, but we give him a chance I reckon.

What would piss me off is it yet again the club bullshit and say it was always him. It’s getting to the point where I’m sick of being lied to, we can debate or argue all day about the good/bad decisions, but what’s getting beyond tiring is the media spin, bending of the truth and lies they are feeding us.

It borders on arrogance in the way they communicate and spin the dial to suit how in reality the club is now so badly run, it’s beyond being genuinely concerned or moaning as some would say, but this will be the very lowest point if he is appointed.

I totally agree we will all have opinions and views on Coaches, players etc. For me if this man is deemed to be the very best Head Coach that we can attract to this club then they should be embarrassed and ashamed. It is an inditement on their succession plan that we have heard in the past.Let’s be honest how can a man who has managed a team in France for five minutes they get relegated and we believe he has the necessary credentials to be our Head Coach. Is this really the very best the owner can attract, or yes he is French that must be important factor to him. This imho will be the final nail in the coffin for many.

Understand, however he fell out with the last owner so he’s obviously not a complete patsy.
Power to the people an all that

Hmm, unfortunately I am of the opinion that any manager/coach who is willing to come and work under, Speakman/Dodds/Proctor and with the restrictioms of the austerity Model... is just that a patsy or puppet... probably counting the days until his generous pay off... not invested in the club at all.

This fella could possibly get us to 2nd bottom, so an upgrade on Dodds then. He was also happy to work last season with a shite squad which is probably what he will have here. Presumably be very cheap too compared to most of the other names to date. Sounds like a great fit for Speakshite.

People are understandably ignorant towards the bloke. The face of it is he's just been relegated, but there's so many determining factors as to why that happened.

You look at their squad and there was some big names who went for big money in there, like Bakayoko and Mendy, but that doesn't mean shit if the application ain't there. Not that I know if they applied themselves, just an observation. Supposedly, they sold 3 very key players as well, in the summer and winter after finishing 10th.

We know ourselves our fickle the top division is, we lingered in limbo for so long, with some terrible players, thinking things could only get better, then we ended up with Callum McFadzean left back.

Hes not an inspirational appointment, I'm worried about a few things, but the bloke deserves more than to be called the French Beale or Chris Coleman's French cousin or whatever. He deserves a chance.

Just one sheer coincidence that they go with the cheaper option, what a stroke of luck…..
Have you seen both of the salary offers have you? Do you know how much each coach would be getting paid and how much each club would be paid? (He hasn’t left Lorient yet so could still be some compensation)

When was the last manager appointment when we didn’t have a thread of people moaning?

Nobody wanted Neil or Mowbray and they both worked out well so fingers crossed this one will too!

They worked to an extent . Neither could tolerate the framework they were asked to work in . Plus neither were identified by the data . Neil applied and Mowbray lived with Harvey .

So in the whole 3 and a half years of being here there is 1 key player sold. And that player was suffering from a long term injury with his contract running out.

Hardly fits the narrative of a fire sale of or key players
That’ll be the annoying thing. If they try to put it out as whoever gets appointed was part of a plan.

Be honest. Say we had numerous targets that didn’t happen.
Nutter 😂😂😂😂

They are hardly going to say we went after numerous targets who turned us down so we turned to this bloke.

Come on give it a rest

I’d say the majority wanted Neil as well tbh, I thought it was a canny coupe at the time tbh given where we were and the bullshiter johnson just given the bullet.
I preferred the other chap we were linked seriously with but I was happy with either. Like you, I thought either was a coup for a league 1 team.

I thought we had the players for promotion but the system & coaching needed work
