No chance he'd have been 3rd or 4th. Even more so as he'd have been in contract and we wouldn't pay a fee to release him.Genuinely think if it is him, he will have been the 3rd choice, 4th at worst.
Surely the club wonāt be daft enough to give it the whole algorithm āoutstanding candidateā shite though?
Think that's what Karl-Heinz Rummenigge thoughtAppointing a fella who's just been relegated. Sounds class.
I wouldnāt post a thread about him based of a loose link with no substance. No chance he'd have been 3rd or 4th. Even more so as he'd have been in contract and we wouldn't pay a fee to release him.
Genuinely believe he's only linked because of his side being relegated and he's getting moved on.
We've definitely held talks with Rosenior and Jansen since then, so that's putting him down in 5th. And possibly also had talks with Challinor and others according to info leaked out.I wouldnāt post a thread about him based of a loose link with no substance.
Fact is it was going to be Maric and it was verbally agreed until KLD spunked at the thought of Still when he became available, then Still was āthe manā but decided to go to Lens instead - so thereās your top 2 choices there. Everything since then has just been pure speculation from the likes Nixon and co (who we all know, knows nowt)
Manager search was totally derailed by Still and we have been back to square 1 since he chose Lens over us![]()
BooooooooI was just about to post similar - he'd be in good Kompany![]()

Holding talks doesnāt mean that they were the choice though does it? Could have held talks and then decided they werenāt the men they wanted, tends to be how interview processes work. We've definitely held talks with Rosenior and Jansen since then, so that's putting him down in 5th. And possibly also had talks with Challinor and others according to info leaked out.
It might have substance, but I still don't think this lad has even been considered until the situation at Lorient came about, due to them being relegated and him being moved out.
Whichever view on this and how far down the pecking order, it feels very underwhelming and not sure how Speakman and Co will try and spin it.Holding talks doesnāt mean that they were the choice though does it? Heās been getting moved out since end of season. We've definitely held talks with Rosenior and Jansen since then, so that's putting him down in 5th. And possibly also had talks with Challinor and others according to info leaked out.

They will spin it as him having experience with young players, working within a similar structure to our club and knowing English and French I think.Whichever view on this and how far down the pecking order, it feels very underwhelming and not sure how Speakman and Co will try and spin it.
Hereās a decent write up on him from Flash Gordon OTR
āLe Bris is starting to look like the most likely candidate I think. I think it's important to look at his whole career to see how he fits.
He spent 8 years coaching in Rennes academy, which is considered to be one of the best in the world. He coached U15's then led the U18's to the national championship. Part of that team at the time was Yann M'Villa.
He then moved on to Lorient in a role which looks like it's Head of Youth/Head of Academy. He did that alongside coaching various youth levels up to the B team.
He stepped into the Head coach role last year with a squad that featured Adil Aouichiche and Vito Mannone and finished a respectable 10th after they had finished 16th the season before winning just 20% of their games. This season they fared much worse and were relegated, but having a look at the transfer business, the club sold £50m worth of assets which included their 2 main strikers, their key playmaker and Aouchiche (though they reinvested some of the money).
You must be logged on to see external linksin particular was a player that Le Bris brought through the youth academy and helped to develop into the £20m player he became. I can see similarities with talented midfielders we have that came through the academy.
His style of play seems fluid but generally favours a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with the number 10 playing close to the striker. He seems to favour overloads on the wings, liking his full backs to be involved in attacks. But beyond that he's willing to change it up depending on the situation. It's not possession for possessions sake. His team will play it long if they see an opportunity and like to switch the play to find players in space. He likes his wingers to dribble. They aim to get them isolated in a 1v1 and then back them to win their dual.
All in all, I can see the intellectual argument for a coach like this. He's clearly more in tune with youth development than your average head coach, which will help relationships in the club from top to bottom. His style of play (if it lives up to what I've read) would be a fit both for the players we have (yes we need a striker) and what the fans would like to see. Finally, his record with developing midfielders is something that would be favourable given that the clubs prized assets are Neil and Rigg.
I'll get behind this one, despite his last season at Lorientā
Sounds the perfect man for usHereās a decent write up on him from Flash Gordon OTR

I don't see the problem with it tbh, they're hardly going to play the appointment down. They will spin it as him having experience with young players, working within a similar structure to our club and knowing English and French I think.
If they try to spin the āoutstanding candidateā and number one choice throughout shite they can fuck right off like.
