Regis le Bris - confirmed

One game, players out.

Sack him. Ffs Football fans for you.
Yeah sack him and bring in who? 7th in Premiership the last time I looked and first season up from the Championship.

Just enjoy it ffs. Off to Cheltenham tonight and struggling to get 11 first teamers on the pitch. Sack Holloway? No.
It is what it is and will be vocally behind the lads. Not confident at all about tonight either. They beat us at home, we’ve only won once there and players out.

What you on about man? Nobody is calling for him to be sacked. There's one lad banging on about tactics but he's in a minority of one.

I honestly dread to have seen this place if we were sat in Burnley’s position which tbh I and a lot of others were expecting. He has done a fantastic job. It’s not a coincidence how good our defensive record is. We’ve proven time and time again this season we can sit in and absorb pressure. Ironically the only major chance they created in second half is when we went flying out pressing and were out of shape.

He’s gotten the team promoted with a squad of roughly 15 Championship quality players. We’re now 7th with a squad of about 15 Premier League quality players, many of whom are currently in Morocco.

Le Bris has always been incredibly responsive to tactical situations on the pitch, even to the point of recognising sometimes that we don’t have the personnel on the bench to make the required adjustments. He’s comfortably outsmarted Arteta, Emery and Slot and he’s handed Maresca his arse on a plate already this season. It may not always be pretty, but it’s effective.

There are a lot of people who think not playing like 1970 Brazil is an indicator of tactical weakness and I think those people should be made to live in a special institution with carers to help them when their brains get too excited.

You can’t just keep saying that after a poster proves you wrong 😂
Mate. I’ve put a lot of these tools masquerading as supporters on ignore.

A lot of these clueless tools are sad jawdies on a troll. To be put on ignore to stop their rancid and bitter drivel.

Tactically I think he’s poor.

His one and only tactic seems to be score a goal then sit back and hold out, even when we have been on top of the game.

The lone forward is isolated. Not one of our midfield is getting into the box when we attack.

We don’t put enough crosses into the box and the quality is poor. Adingra today managed to hit the byline a few times today, which is encouraging, the final ball being poor……and why isn’t the opposite winger not attacking the back post when a cross comes in?

Even basics, for example throw-ins, the number of times it’s bounced into the midriff of the receiving player instead of to feet is ridiculous.

The lack of movement when in possession is baffling.
I stopped posting on here because of ***** like you.

Thought I’d have a dodge back on, thinking that surely even the most miserable of bastards couldn’t have anything to whinge about at the moment.

How wrong I was. Honestly man, if you can’t enjoy supporting us at the moment, you never will. Give up and get a new hobby you tedious twat. Take your lass to carboot sales or do park runs on a matchday instead.

Merry Christmas. FTM

I wasn't thrilled but it was generally okay. I don't think it was a question of structure or tactics, but rather personnel and performance.

You could argue that the Leeds equaliser actually results from us pushing on for the second. Cirkin is nowhere to be seen as he was on the edge of their box before the turnover, leaving Xhaka to cover too much ground as Leeds break and put the cross in. If we were indeed sitting back and holding out as you put it, that doesn't happen.

Leeds put us under the cosh and we struggled to get the ball out. It happens. We surrendered the ball too cheaply and struggled to pick up second balls. I think that's players and performance rather than coaching and tactics.

We rode it out and made changes, and eventually got to grips with the game, especially when DCL went off. They never really offered anything after that.

Ultimately we didn't have our best side out, and a couple of regulars - Hume and Brobbey - struggled. That's a personnel problem and it affected our game.

If Brobbey had made more of those chances, we could have had the game sewn up before half time.

In all, a decent point all things considered, still unbeaten at home going into the New Year, 7th in the table. Let's move on.
Lines up pretty much with exactly how I saw it.

Very worrying ;)

Football is a very fickle game. Great a job as he's done if we have a big drop off second half of season which is a real possibility then combine it with a slow start next season the pressure would mount on him. I certainly wouldn't be over surprised if hes not our manager this time next year

There's a strong possibility of an issue with this advice...

Was always phenomenal at setting up a team. Struggled last season with using substitutions and changing games. We lost a lot of points at the end of matches.

However he has vastly improved this and is excellent at positive substitutions, and using what he has at his disposal.

He really is a phenomenal manager who has demonstrated marked improvement over his time here, an improvement which looks set to continue.

We could struggle next year, on the other hand we could equally be in Europa league or Europa conference league next year.

Because things seem pretty smooth behind the scenes I suspect the trajectory is more likely to be upwards.
KLD and them will be wanting to improve the squad imo. Winning games is far too enjoyable to not continue doing so

Absolutely, and I genuinely think we have a real shot of getting a Europe place this season too (champions league probably a bit too much out of our reach though).
