I wouldn't be writing off Hjelde by a long way just yet for a handful of reasons that have already been mentioned, he's got a good chance of making it at Division 2 level for me.

Be pissed off with the board of the club. I don't think anyone can fully defend them after the debacle.

As for the manager, we can't expect a manager who has succeeded every season at every club he has been at because they just wouldn't come here. Give the man a chance to make an impression on the squad and then judge him.
 
A very strange appointment. Someone that retired his late 20s but didn't earn himself a chance in the hot seat till 46. If he had something about him would have came way before then. He only has 2 seasons under his belt, 1 of which he got relegated. Worst defence in the league. Now he has to adapt to a new country having never done it before. But he's worked with young players so none of the above matters

On the face of it seems like he basically did what is expected of Lorient maybe slightly overachieving in 22/23

Interesting stats cheers, we don't know the ins and outs of what has been going on there over the last 2-4 years also i suppose, there could be excuses and circumstances.
 
I kid you not , am sat in the sportsbook in Paris casino Las Vegas , watching the game. Guy next to me is French ( here for wsop same as me ). I say “ oh your French we just hired “ Regis Le Bris “ .
Oh my god he says “ he is really really bad “. Then he said a few French phrases that I didn’t get, whilst shaking his head .
