Regis Le Bris - Backroom Staff

It’s got to be Defoe. Knows the club. Knows the area inside out. Top striker so can reach out strikers how to strike. Top coach.
I'd be chuffed if Defoe was part of the setup.
What a weird obsession this place has with coaches mind
It's just another think for people to complain about, it seems complaining releases dopamine for many.

It’s the “obsession” comment.

You know it’s a weird dig, yet you’ll use it too. It’s a football forum, we discuss Sunderland. Of course people are interested in the coaching staff

If you’re not as “obsessed”, then don’t read the thread. There’s loads of threads I don’t comment on. It’s just constant sniping from you lads.

How’s the “experience” argument now? Moved the goalposts? Pretty much the football world was against your view, and it seems the club were too. You’ve done brass neck still giving it large ;)
Haha come on mate I'm not your enemy here.

Remove Obsession and insert another similar word. The point still applies. If Le Bris is happy with the set up / recruitment of coaching staff then that's all that matter.

Remind me what's my experience argument again?

he isnt le bris own man though..le bris may never have heard of him..

i'd be surprised if defoe would go as a no.2 now..he may feel he has done his time as a coach and want to be a manger//

no evidence he is a top coach and this baord was le bris to be allowed pick his own people...
It's quite incredible how ignorant you think coaches/players in football are

Let’s change “obsession” to “interested” then.

Changes the tone and meaning of his post entirely doesn’t it. You know what his post was, another weird dig at the generic “this place”.

Just constant sniping. You know it ;)

You’re better than that. You’re decent posters when you can be bothered

Thanks mate, I'll take that.

Fair enough interested. I just see this as another way to have a dig at the club.

Regarding experience m. My point has always been, and will be quality over experience. If you can get both then excellent recruitment. I've been consistent with that

I think people are curious because with Le Bris not bringing any staff with him and he ends up with Dodds and Proctor, it comes across as the club doing things om the cheap.

I'm sure Barnes said on the radio the other day that we are looking to bring in a set piece coach, which makes total sense given how shite we are at both ends.

If big reg isn't aware of defoes impact at Premier league and at safc by now I'd be amazed. There are pictures in the SOL. You like to downplay the relevance of safc to the bigger world but they are more integrated than you think. We are not Charlton or Leyton orient mate.

Le Bris doesn’t want his own man he’s made that clear. He wants someone who knows the English leagues and maybe even the club. There’s defoe

oh well thats fair enough regarding him seeing thwe pitcures at the SOL...Im happy to acknowldedge he may have looked at the pictures and gone "who is that guy" and looked at wikipedia/asked people..

But prior to that..he may have heard of him but its not inevitable..

defoe is one of the people that fits that criteria yes...certaonly knows english football and knows the club...not coached at championship level but played in it a little bit

Even if he hadn't heard of him he still needs to understand if his personality and management can teach our strikers, given he is top 10 premier scorer ever.

However to contradict myself it didn't help England with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on the England management team I noted. He should have been kicking kane up the arse but probably had to tow the line, so I guess it boils down influence.
