Redditors gave Wall Street traders an absolute pasting

Although I know fuck all about shares, im quite interested in the whole Reddit bandwagon thing that is going on. I suspect that I have missed the boat on AMC and Game which most people are talking about, but I assume it wont be long before they move on to the next good cause.

Which groups / channels are the ones to follow, and if i was having a dabble with £1K, which would be the best platform to use for buying / selling? I could do with a distraction during close season to stop me from looking on here to see which footballer I have never heard of that we are supposedly after.

I don't think HF's will ever short sell in the same way again *IF* they get really badly caught.

Anyway, the American regulator is passing all kinds of new rules that prevent it being possible. Mind, the fines for breaking the rules are like 1% of the profit they make from breaking the rules, so yeah....
AMC pre market flying
Up to $75
GME about to touch $290

I don't know much about the AMC situation (as previously said), but still just going to hold for the long term. GME I know a fair bit more about, with retail own the float about 3 times over - making a major short squeeze safe from people selling on the way up.
I don't know if AMC can cope if people sell on the way up.

put a limit sell in on 30 AMC at $100

I'm not selling all of what I've got left just incase it keeps going but realistically how high can it go. the youtube lot are all on about 100k banging on about a short squeeze. i get the basic concept of what the squeeze means but surely that's not a realistic price target

I can’t see it getting up to $100k per share, sounds far fetched tbh

Looks like some quant hedge funds made good money on this and not many got pasted now that the SEC report is published. People believing they were part of a short squeeze for the entirety, when really it was mostly the extra million or so people trading the stock

Still seems GME is shorted well beyond the actual float.
A float that is getting ever smaller now the retail holders are DRS'ing their shares en masse

Best guess I see at the moment is that the naked shorting is absolutely rife, but covered by deep OTM puts to pretend the SHFs aren't really short on GME at all. Which they obviously are.

As ever though, there seems to be no clear way for the situation to be resolved.

I honestly think think, when all this darkpool shorting is played out some small hedge funds are going to be liquidated. The shorting of decent companies and the manipulation through darpook has gotten completely out of hand.

If the sec have had to get involved and create new laws but at the same time are letting them pull out slowly not to f**k the system, then it must be rife. Im keeping some cash at the hip ready in case there are bargains to be had.

Nobody who is responsible for the system wants to see it crash and burn, even those who are supposed to "make it work properly".
It would look bad on everyone if it went splat.

So yeah, small movements, allow everyone the chance to fix their mistakes etc.

An NFT divident might be fun, though.

Keep an eye on Clover Health, the game of chess between the Large shorting hedge funds and the retail and institutional long term holders is fascinating. Fake law suits, fake share reviews, discord in chat rooms etc. All becuase it has been shorted to the point nobody will sell at. circa 30 million shares borrowed and a 25 million wall they cannot buy back. They are trying to pass the buck to smaller hedge funds. All this discord to try and make it look like the company is failing to try and shake people out of the physical shares they had and emotionally drain them. its really interesting if you are into that sort of thing.

whats made it even harder for them is, google, ballie gifford and fidelity has said i'll have some of that at that price and they will absolutely not sell. the price movements to them are irrelevant at this point.

Sounds like the exact same FUD that you read about in the GME boards on reddit.

The SHFs have literally employed people to create accouns and spread FUD. People DM shareholders to try to convince them to sell, its so obviously and quite hilarious.

Is it worth buying a couple of hundred pounds worth then?

When clover eventually goes the smaller the smaller hedge funds what have shorted will be completely vaporised in my opinion. It is it starting now i think. Everyday the LHF's return about 1million shares and let the smaller HF short away. They still cannot return past that 25million return wall though. sooner or later they are going to have to offer people more money if they want their shares. Clover have pulled their earning report forward as well for novemeber so im expecting a good report. hopefully the straw that beaks the camels back. The current price is about $7.9, i have sale orders set at 35, 50,75 and 100, they aint getting my shares for cheap.

Im not a professional or good investor, however, I do think that it cannot physically get lower that $7 so the upside is more than the downside in my opinion. people more knowledgeable than me feel the price should be about $20-30. The company is a new company but it has the potential to be huge in my opinion. it is in a very lucrative and large market and has the best tech by a country mile. it is a very competitive market though. It is burning through a lot of cash (it also has a lot) expanding massively, almost doubling revenue and client base every quarter. I have gone in heavy by my standards, im not wealthy, but have bought 400 shares. My average is $9. anything close to 8 or below is a good price in my untrained opinion.

if you do buy, don't worry about the price movements, it is an illusion at this point. Make sure you can hold, and dont buy with money you need because there is a chance the hedge funds will drag this out. Friday is a good day to buy, they like to (usually) bring the price down on a Friday. be prepared for emotional fuckery by the LHF's

Also, if you do buy set sell orders at a profit you want. Saves you having to watch a potentially volatile market every day.
