Redditors gave Wall Street traders an absolute pasting

Rotten to the core sport, just like hoss racing.
Does seem really dodgy some of it, I'm a total amateur only been putting a few quid into shares since Jan really.
Change the subject when tucked into a corner, great tactic. Enjoy mate, I’ll bookmark this thread and bump it when it f***ing craters
Hope you have had a good day and regardless of this we are Sunderland fans together.
What a result.

Eh, I thought you were bothered about people losing money?
The only thing rotten is some reddit clown pumping a stock.

You're way more experienced than me so do you honestly think retail has enough volume to influence this now?
I feel its bigger players messing with it now?

I think that boat's sailed sunk now, bitcoin, this thread, interest rates... he isn't going to want to help the SMB again. Nah man he's probably tucked up ready for an early start tomorrow whilst degenerates like myself get ready for the Sunday night ritual pump dance.

Tbh I was generally interested in @monkeytassle view on it now as it seems to have changed from a retail driven stock?
I'm a total newbie really.
I do think the amount of publicity and the change in business direction has upgraded the share price but I dunno i don't give financial advice ....

You really need to sit and watch a video on how to work out whether a share is over priced or not.

I honestly don’t think you’d be able to keep up with the maths though.

People really claiming that donations to an ape charity are "bad" because its virtue signalling?

Nah, filming yourself giving a homeless person a sandwich and a drink is virtue signalling. Putting a post on your twitter but actually DOING nothing is virtue signalling.

Giving money online to a charity under a pseudonym isn't.

Starting to get the feeling that this GME battle is now between the HF's themselves. Shorting HF's vs Long HFs with the RIs just chipping in around the sides.
Either way, its going to be a cracking story when its all over and done.

And hedge funds trying to drive it's stock down after shorting it, surely?
Hedge funds have to write letters to their investors mostly monthly to explain their investments decisions. Investors can ask why they made these decisions. Replying with I tried to make the price go down by selling it isn't something that would fly with a pension fund placing money with said hedge fund. They'd need to come up with a cash flow and present value analysis based on a lot of research to justify said decision. Contrary to popular belief there is science behind this. That's not to say science csnt be wrong but this reddit bloke and his followers are betting on the next Blockbuster video.

GameStop management should sell all their remaining shares and take the money

I was more referring to the video the original fund (forgotten their name) were routinely releasing on You Tube with the aim of gaining traction and further driving the price down, before WSB got involved. That's just as bad IMO, its the inverse of what WSbB have done and what started this whole thing off

Very risky to be publicly so confident on a short position. People may identify a poorly run or what they see as an unethical model, be right in what they're saying but just get squeezed out because of the short position
